  1. A few years ago at Ioco, BC there was a crazy young spaniard who wanted to throw a Fantic up an insane rock face, but was denied until after the trial in case of injury. Of course Amos was only slighty crazier than that tempermental Fenchman who rode the greenjets - Berlatier, who urban legend has it dropped the rental van wheel off the cliff side on the way back to the motel - isn't that waht happens to all BC rentals? Was it Pete Cartwright that also rode the mean greenies in the UK? Anyone know what happened to John Reynolds and the big yellow Beamish?
  2. What about the othe rider Steve. The one in blue OLASINIS gear but without his helmet on? - Vesty. Besides I thought Mick was riding for AHAMAY?
  3. Johnnyboxer - do you have a link to the 240 currently on e-bay? Cheers
  4. 1991 TV movie "In the Nick of Time". Lloyd Bridges (not the Johnny Depp movie) playing a 300-year-old Santa who searches New York to find a replacement so he can retire. The star of the show is the 305 Fantic piloted by stunt rider Jamie Jones sliding under an 18 wheeler (artic lorry) as Santa makes his getaway...
  5. If you reply with your e-mail address I will send you a pdf of the Parts catalog page C3. There are quite a few pieces as you have probably discovered. From the middle of the swingarm you have small seal. nylon bush. needle brg, small seal, large seal and cap. Will see if I can find a chart of the sizes in the meantime.
  6. All right now - sing along to the chorus... Get down Shep! Keep still, boy Do as you're told, come 'ere Get down Shep! Behave yourself Or I'll cuff you round the ear
  7. ..just goes to show how tough the Scott is then as I would have thought him to be in the running on time, if not on marks lost - maybe he did two laps?
  8. Was the winner the same David Knight that rode in the Scott this year?
  9. Brilliant pictures R2W Suprised Grimbo was demoing an 05. Was it one of the BVM test bikes or one of his own? Strange he is not riding an 06 yet, or even a 4T in preparation for Scotland? Worth the price of admission and more besides to see that kind of a riding display.
  10. Before making any adjustments to the rear shock make sure you back off the adjusting collar locking grubscew (if fitted). Try starting with 2 1/2 to 3 inches of sag while balancing on bike, and an inch unloaded. Then adjust to suit your own needs depending on the terrain and how high you want the rear end to kick/unload. Also adjust the damping in your legs as they should play an equal part.
  11. You could also try using the 2005 model splash shield that seals around the shock and prevents water travelling up the gap between the inner side faces of the airbox and exhaust. Bear in mind that the engine still needs to breathe and only very deep river crossings will test the standard setup. Sometimes the harder you make it for the water to get into the area surrounding area, also makes it harder for any water to drain away and blow right on through. Definitely before washing (especially if using the killer pressure washers), remove the mudguard (fender), remove the air filter for inspection/cleaning, and cover the airfilter inlet, then replace the mudguard and plug up the exhaust. After washing reverse the procedure (pop in your pre-oiled spare filter, and run the engine to dry. (If problems starting then check that the exhaust plug was also removed ..it happens!) Ishy had a good post going but like always the lurkers from the dark side couldn't help but wonder how Sherco managed to get an airbox and the exhaust under the seat sticker and out of the way. http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1212
  12. This is from the 04 Irish World Round, and was fitted to the 2004 Graham Jarvis SSDT replica model, so you should be able to order one from your local Sherco dealer. Sorry don't have a 2005 version photo.
  13. Anyone else have a problem seeing the whole of the Sidehack photo? I'm just getting the top half showing the unusual Sherco blue water pump! Curious about that double grip on the clutch side of the bars ..is that a special Renthal Morewood bend?
  14. Anyone have a source for an original steel (non aluminium/alloy) 240 kickstarter ..and yes thanks I do already have Bill Pye of Frankfields phone number.

    Sherco Exhaust

Check through the Sherco history on this forum which will give you photos of the task at hand. http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/index....4164&hl=exhaust
  16. Why not start with a local dealer who you will likely need for advice and parts anyway. BVM in Stroud always have a selection of used triallers listed and their employees ride tham as well as sell them. http://www.bvm-moto.co.uk/allusedtrials.htm Good luck
  17. The orange fluoro paint on tank and fork guards and air cooling suggests the 305 or 307 of 1989/1990, but it looks like upside down forks so has to be newer than the 305. Could be a 1990 307 or 247, but the bigger rear silencer suggests a 309 as mentioned in earler posting, especially if there is no mid section silencer above the rear master cylinder by the riders right leg. Check for blue paint under the fresh coat of black on the engine as this would point to 1991 309. Only the engine/frame numbers will tell for sure.
  18. If you subscribe to the Sherco mailnews you have the option of downloading high resolution versions of the newsletter images, as well there are many available form the Sherco World Trials Team reports that are plenty large enough for wallpaper, such as this one http://www.sherco-moto.com/cabestany/world...oads/jarvis.jpg Alternatively there are several of Graham and Albert available from the Sherco website. Try this http://www.sherco-moto.com/downloads/press03/jarvis4.jpg

  24. RacerX had this to say:- "trials ace Geoff Aaron (whose style forced you to just stand and watch in awe), Photo caption "Geoff Aaron put in some of the most inspired rides of the night" http://www.racerxill.com/RXimages/misc/ex3_std.jpg Whereas Endurocross reported "Geoff Aaron, ...worth the admission fee to watch ride!"
  25. The 2005 models (in addition to the black plastic vertical shield in front of the airbox) are fitted with a flat rubbershield (part# C686) cut to wrap around the top of the shock, brake reservoir, and air box inlet, to further sealout any water that might rise up around the shock. P.S. As a word of caution to those (you know who you are) thinking of drilling a hole in the bottom of the airbox to drain it - DONT!. ...but if you do then best to make sure you seal it well once drained, as it would be on the clean air side of the filter!
