Making a note not to let Mr. Davidson work on my bike...
Would it be too cheeky to ask if you have a workshop manual?
-
There was a discussion on this a bit ago, although the thread title was highly misleading.
Extra,extra Long-range Montesa Fuel Tank, Triumph/montesa 4rt hybrid

Oh, you think it's bad where you are?
He'd probably get a personal massage and body cavity search by the TSA if he was from here.
And fat chance of taking a magnum of champagne on the place, WMD or something, I'm sure...
-
Is there the ability to adjust the choke, either with the lever (or such action) or an internal modification?
-
We use to be able to purchase a bucket of cleaner. You'd just hang the part in it over night and it'd come out sparkling. Too many whiffs of the fumes and you face would melt off. I don't think you can get it anymore.
-
I think even at the top of the hill there was 7500 ft or so. Does that sound right? (Donner Pass is listed at 6500-ish, so add some footage to get to the top above the lodge...)
Apparently staying hydrated may help. Very easy to dry out up there.

Have I hit my head too many times?
What do I click?

-
They probably published it in the newspaper.

Funny I just sent an email to the new person at AHMRA about a new forum on their site. She seemed really receptive about it. Too bad I don't know how to manage phpBB.
I think it's too early to get an AHMRA twin shock class. The Modern Classic class is well populated as it is. And we know how the AHRMA is about "newer" bikes, although they don't spit on PV bikes any more...
I think there are things that can be done to improve trials, but it's going to take a few things: good ideas and good people to execute them. We'll just see how many people step up to help compared to those who just complain about it.
-
Average?
What does that mean?
5'7" 160 lbs. ?
-
Let me give you the short answer.
No.
But don't get rid of the bike because if they can have the post-vintage crap in mx they will soon have a later class for trials.
-
make sure you are using the exact plug specified and then clean out the muffler.
-
The official name of the event is AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days. In fact on the AMA site there are very few indications that AHRMA is even involved.
You are correct that "AHRMA is a chartered promoter of the American Motorcyclist Association".
I wonder how much control that AHRMA has over the events at Mid-Ohio, or should I say how many limitations does AHRMA have in putting on the event...
-
No I haven't given up . Mid-Ohio is probably the crown jewel for AHRMA as I believe it to have the largest entry and a huge spectator turn out ( they love it ! ) That said , it was a bit....frustrating , showing up and finding that there was no one in charge and little time . I think that the new(er) regime has to up their learning curve a bit .
From what I understand is that Mid-Ohio is technically an AMA event. Not sure if that's relevant...
-
I wouldn't give up on AHRMA trials just yet...
-
Send me the photos and I'll post them. I want to see this!
-
I'm not sure if this will help, but if you plan your dabs you may prevent the 5s.
Then you'll eventually build the confidence that you wont need to dab at all.
But to got into every trap and worry more about dabbing than getting through is a big psychological hurdle.
-
Alan, I sent you a PM about AHRMA.
-
I don't know, maybe not riding around like a 13 yr. old hopped up on a pot o' coffee with a Red Bull chaser?
-
Are you going to ride the MX at The Farm?
-
-
-
Any chance you kept the one?
-
I'm not going to but THAT bike.
