Jesus where do you get off? Lets organise it all round you and your two lads!!!!
You have said you have done your bit for the last 5 years and the other clubs deserve a turn...............BUT when they do their bit the trials are neither No Good ot Too Far Away...
Maybe its just me and your absolutely right?
-
Choice !!!!!!!!!! you need a bigger spade because the hole you are digging is getting deeper??
British Championship is as it sates so the rounds can be anywhere, some rounds will favour some others rounds will favour other people..........Thats Fact!! If you have had a bad experience at one venue don't go again that would be your choice?
Gary Mac must be the furthest travelled competitor in the Adult British Championship, but it has been his choice to live in Fort William and his choice to contest the championship! On the flip side its fairly handy for him for te SSDT
-
........and all the lady riders who will be riding your trial live on the island then? Don't think so, or maybe as a gesture of good will you are paying their ferry fare?
Swings and Roundabouts fellow and personal choice, Yes it maybe expensive for you, but whether it be work or choice to live on the island at the end of the day you choose to live their, maybe next years rounds can be Southampton, Bournmouth, Poole, Weymouth, Brighton and Bognor Regis!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Don't know what to call it SCERCO or SHORPA
-
Lets not forget the reason why Honda went the 4-stroke route? Wasn't it because all trials bike manufacturers were supposed to go 4-stroke?
They took the step or was it a gamble as 2-strokes are still here and maybe due to lack of 4RT sales no future development or going back to 2-stroke?
Might of been a whole different story if we were all on 4-strokes I would hazard a guess that the Mont would be a massive seller!!!!!
-
Maybe one thing to consider and I know you havn't bought it or even made up your mind but..........................
Just wondered what happens when you decide to sell it as it has a very small market place? Youths being on 125's and anyone else on 250's or bigger. It might be the ideal bike for the majority, but you won't convince them!!!!!
-
-
So if the 4RT was cheaper people still wouldn't buy it?
That seems to have dictated sales the last couple of years, still the best bike for some trials by a long way!
-
Sounds as though SDMC have got it right Twice?
Adult British Championship earlier in the year was also from feed back the best round of the year and now the Youth Round also getting the same praise.
Top marks to all the organisers, but most of all the section plotters! you can make a trial tough but fair ! Sections took marks but most enjoyed it
-
I am off to ride my STANDARD 4RT today after reading the posts I feel my bike is inadequate for the job.
Hope I will be OK
-
Not sure about that? but I think it has a 'Special' Curly chain tensioner spring and 'Hubba Bubba' handle bar grips for that extra soft tacky feel
-
This is good, the Addict's Mont is better than Bou's if your interested
-
So the final round of the WTC has finished and I know the results for the top places were decided before today.
So out of the 3 Championships contested we Brits won 2 of them? Well done Alexz for your World Junior Championship and well done Jonathan for your World Youth Championship. Dougie managed to keep hold of his 6th place I am sure he will be keen to keep going with the WTC being held in the Fort?
James had a steady year as for Michael I am sure he knows himself he can do better and with a new bike for 2010 that may help.
So well done all and good luck for 2010 it will be interesting.....................................
-
Oh Dear
Maybe short of a bit of money, wonder if their Government will lend them some and add to their DEBT ????
-
Studies and makes Maps! He is an expert on the Western Highlands of Scotland!
-
Nah he's got a new job in Cartography which is very time consuming
-
Someone did mention that on the radio today that North of the border you were all at work
-
That could be next but does anyone use this system now to give us any feedback? I think ishy has talked about this before.
-
Agreed I for one don't think it will please everyone and who knows if it will make people leave, stay or come into the sport, however, the latter that is to encorouge people in to our sport I would hope that 'No Stop' is the rules that would succeed.
Remember we have tried the stop = 1 mark, which was quickly replaced for Stop and Hop! not sure why? These rules only favour the better riders FACT !! and leaves the main bulk of the entry struggling.
Truth of the matter is you won't please everyone, and when and if the change to the rules happen, I am sure we will re-invent the wheel again! and in a few years have another set of rules to ride with!!!
-
Nowt to do with being a tight Yorkshireman.............all trials riders are tight
Yep turn it thats what we all do
-
Time limits may work at WTC and BTC level, but at what level of competition do the organisers choose not to time the rider on the sections?
You were struggling to finnish some of the Novagar rounds in the time limit, with the hoppers spending too long in the section, going back to No Stop will now help!
-
My point being the age of the vehicles has no relivance, still costs the same amount to transport them round the world? Combine this with the numbers of hangers on then the running costs must be high?
Maybe a Team Manager van and a mechanic from the factory and then the rest of the money could be spread round to give support to more riders boosting the field slightly, that is probably the reason why riders dissapear..................... no funding?
-
Bet ''Auntie Rhoda'' told her to wear it
Well done though, now ''Boot Camp'' ...................Which Boot?
-
At last, Gordon Brown reluctantly decided to throw in the towel and resign.. His cabinet colleagues decided it would be a worthy gesture to name a railway locomotive after him so a senior 'Sir Humphrey' travelled from Whitehall to the National Railway Museum in York to investigate the possibilities.
"They do have a number of locomotives at the NRM without names," a specially-sought railway consultant told the top civil servant, "however, these are mostly freight locomotives."
"Oh dear, that's not very fitting for a prime minister." said Sir Humphrey. "How about that big green one, over there?" he said, pointing to Number 4472.
"But 4472 already has a name" said the consultant. "It's called 'The Flying Scotsman'."
"Oh. Couldn't it be renamed?" asked Sir Humphrey. "This is a national museum after all, funded by the taxpayer."
"I suppose it might be considered." said the consultant. "After all, the LNER renamed a number of their locomotives after directors of the company, and even renamed one of them Dwight D Eisenhower."
"That's excellent", said Sir Humphrey, "So that's settled then: let's look at renaming 4472. But how much will it cost? We can't spend too much, given the recent parliamentary expenses scandal."
"Well," said the consultant, "why don't we just paint out the F'?"
-
WTC you honestly think the factories will throw money at it with Trucks, Minders, Mechanics, hangers on etc etc for years to come??????? I am not sure?
BTC I think will survive.
Just my thoughts....................
