  1. makes sense, so just knock them out from the other end then? no worries about damaging them because they arent going back in. Tom
  2. One of my rear wheel bearings could do with replacing, whats the best way to do this? never done it before so aint got a clue how to remove them/re-install new ones. only one needs doing but ive bought 2 as i figured its best doing them both at once. any info/tips much appreciated! Tom
  3. Ive been using it from the word go, from what I understand its just MX5 but smells of strawberries. not let me down so far. Tom
  4. Thats good to hear! however Id prefer that it stayed out of the championship, last years even was alot more fun I think as the riders didnt have the pressure. either way though im sure it will be amazing. Cheers Andy. Tom
  5. I heared Rumors that there isnt going to be a Sheffield Indoor Trial this year, anyone know if this is true or not? All the best Tom
  6. I use K&N filter oil, I find the sticky stuff doesnt let the bike rev out clean all the time due to restricted air flow. The filter oil isnt there to pick up dust, the filter itself wont let dust through, the oil is to stop fluids like water etc getting into the carb. as for whether 2 stroke oil does the trick or not, stick some on your filter, if its dirty on the outside and clean on the inside and theres no sign of water in your carb then I cant see why you couldnt use it? Then again, I could just be talking rubbish! All the best Tom

    2008 Pro

mine runs a hell of alot more than my beta did, when riding id say its on about 90% if the time. However it isnt on constantly, its not on when I kick the bike up, only when its warm. Tom
  8. I bought a New Gas Gas 300, Love it to bits, the bikes will always be better than the riders but it is very very nice owning a new bike! Tom
  9. I bought 2 as spares so I can oil all 3 at once, never had a problem with them, had one on my beta too with no problems also. I use K&N filter oil. Tom
  10. Seen This video online, looks like some good footage and gives a good idea of what to expect at the SSDT, Id love a good High Quality copy of it. How do I go about getting it? Just send you some money over paypal and my adress? All the best Tom
  11. I cant comment much on the Sherco's because ive had limited time on them, but the time I did have was pleasent but I wouldnt say it was better than the GasGas. I have an 08 300 Gasser and love it to bits (especially the brakes), I fitted a flywheel weight and it softens the bottom end out and makes the power really usable. despite what people say, the 300 isnt really a pro's machine, its the 280 thats the nasty one. If you flip the bike alot or drop it off big rocks then I think the sherco's mudguard can be impractical, its 1 peice that go's all the way into the dip so if it gets bent back, it snaps, the gasgas one snaps off but can be easily re-attached with either cable ties or the proper clips. I also use a registration plate bolt on the centre mount for the mudguard, this snaps easily instead of breaking the mudguard. From my experience id say go for the gasser, but like I said, I havnt had enough of a ride on a Sherco to be 100% sure. either way though I rekon youll get a good competitive bike. All the best Tom
  12. I used araldite, mixed it up and heated it to make it runny, takes a very long time smoothing it out perfectly. 4 months on, riding about 10 hours a week and so far no problems. Tom
  13. I got some of those stickers free for being their 500th customer! lucky me also got a mug and a couple of other bits. was hoping for a raga rep though =( the mug has seen 1928 cups of tea thus far... 1929.....

    Brake Pads

What Brake pads are standard in the front and rear on an 08 Gasser? Id ask a reccomendation on what to replace them with but alot of people disagree on this and the ones it came with did a good job so why change? Thanks alot =]

  21. Sound advice =] Ill give it a shot at the weekend. Thanks again Tom
  22. No disrespect to Ryan but he is 100% wrong. I have the balls to do it, but its not working so the only other thing that could be missing is skill. Id love to take a training day with him but unfortunatly im in the UK, going to see Dougie in August though! Im going to take everyones tips and put them into practice this weekend. thanks alot! Tom
  23. I took advice from a sheep once and it wasnt half bad... as for the splatters, I think one of my mistakes is Im approaching too fast, the problem I had was that the kicker didnt seem to give me much lift at all, probably due to it being really hard to time with the extra speed. If I slow it down hopefully I can get some more lift and my rear wheel will hit the rock rather than my sump guard (which evidently resulted in a sprained ankle which hurts alot more than Id imagined). Cheers mate =] Tom
  24. Does anyone have any tips for splatting big objects? 99% of people will tell me all you need is balls and to just rev the engine and dump the clutch, Ive got the balls (and the stupidity) and quickly realised that theres alot more to it than that. Im looking to get as much lift as possible from my splats, currently trying them using a kicker but not getting the desired height from it. My usual technique for rocks is punching the front wheel into the rock to get that "spring" effect, this seems the work great for me but I cant seem to get over anything more than 5ft using it. any advice is welcome! All the best Tom
