  1. 4rt's mate not till november at the earliest, usually last to come out. Scorpa tend to be first along with gas gas then betas around october. So take your pick. Dont reckon the 4rt will change much. I reckon still be black frame. I hope its still black anyway.
  2. Anyone heard an results yet from todays inter centre team trial up north?
  3. An awsome day out at Scarborough and District Motor Club organised round of the British Ladies Trial Championship. Becky Cook was in dominant form closely followed by donna fox. See photos at Scarborough DMC website for all the action that took place.
  4. What a great days riding and some real gutsy performances from these girls. Low North Camp in Scarborough was the setting for what is regarded as one of the leading trials venues in the country and it did not dissapoint. A mixture of banks, rocks, tight turns all contributed to what was a great days event. Well Done SDMC. http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/tomlinsonrob...008LowNorthCamp
  5. Hey DJ why did you sell the mont, you never let on? Should have kept it dude then you wouldnt have had problems. lol.
  6. 6 front 3-4 rear depends on conditions. No set rule really, go on what feels best for you.
  7. Saw some pics from ray crinson on here, tryed to buy some but image dpi too low, can anyone provide me with contact details please of ray so as i can get the higher resolution image from him. Also was anyone else snappin up there as there seemed to be loads of camera flashes going of.
  8. yeah i got my results through the post this morning. Who is it you want to see result for? I posted the same message last week and some guy posted back top ten results. Hope this helps. Did you ride? It was an awsome event.
  9. Hi all, Anyone seen any results from loch lomond 2008 2 day trial yet?
  10. i will second that, the bikes are so reliable you wont really use it except if your new to montesa 4rt changing oil and thats about it. Set of pads and a new C and S occasionally for which you dont need a manual for this and your laughin. JOB DONE which leaves you to enjoy your ridin. Good Times.
  11. Hey guys find this thread fasinating as to what you can do with the mapping on 4rt's. As a 4rt 08 owner ridin inter class i find theres more than enough power in a mont. I would leave em alone to be honest, we aint toni bou. Just open it up more.
  12. Im sure pune will be fit for Scotland, hes a yorkshireman.
  13. Hi guys anyone got a prep list for a montesa or seen one for scotland?
  14. Well done Mr brown, a second round victory beating Jarvis in the hunt for this years British Championship Title 2008
  15. Gaerne 100% the alpinestars from the odd people you see in em arent that impressed. They look good but gaerne are by far better quality. Yes yo play more but doesnt that tell you something.
  16. Go on Lampsy let it all out. Anyway got that exhaust sorted yet?
  17. I totally agree with you on browny's bike looking better. At bangor i too looked at both bikes and some obvious differences are the exhaust which looks really cool, the middle box which was huge and also the switch on the handle bar. Not forgetting those forks in a mulittude of colours (similar to the late 2000 2 stroke monts) Oh yeah and a noticable difference in size in both riders As regards the engines im sure theres not much difference but i guess thats a trade secret. To be honest i think dougs looks so much a standard beta and browny's a tricked up version and im sure people are gonna be gaggin to buy those beta extras on michaels bike as they become availalble. I do know you can get the michael brown replica sticker kit which looks absoulutely awsome. You can only order these direct from his website www.trialsmonkey.co.uk and at only
  18. compression is the screw you turn on the shock which determines how quick the shock compresses and the rebound is adjusted by turning the spring. To do this you must slacken of the nut then turn either clockwise or anti depending on what you require from the shock.
  19. have you not approached them and told them if you dont rectify at your cost you will seek legal advice and implement the uk laws as applicable. Did you get the bike cheap?? Usually the cheap deals are dodgy. If you bought from a dealer im sure there reputation is on the line so its in their interests to sort. I wouldn't mention on here who it is as they may come back at you for slander. Go approach them and take it from there. Good luck
  20. 100% yes, i would say that i guess cause i got one. I came from beta and loved that bike as a two stroke, but i wanted to go 4 stroke and it seemed the obv choice. Yes they are a bit heavier, but depending on your ability if toni bou can ride one and joe bloggs can then you wont go far wrong. Regards the 08 i dont feel as if theres a massive difference. Only price really. Yes they are more, but i aint going into that here, people only mince about it.lol. I heard the 05 was a little dodgy on one or two things but hey it was they first model and you gotta expect teethin problems. I reckon an 06 is now affordable and if you look around you can pick up some blinged up ones. One thing i have noticed is more and more seem to be at trials. Perhaps people have seen what they can do for the clubman or just like the look of em more as they see more. Perhaps they follow a trend. Again who knows. One thing is though i do believe more are around because 05,06,07 become more affordable, therfore the second hand montesa market becomes bouyant. So like i said at the start is an 08 worth it. YES if you wanna spend the money. Besides you get what you pay for. Read into that as you will GOOD LUCK in your decision making
  21. have you tryed sandifords, they are montesa importers James Sandiford (Motorcycles) Limited Unit 3B Bridgewater Court, Bentley Wood Way, Network 65, Hapton, Burnley, Lancs., BB11 5ST. UK. Telephone : 01282 428383 Facsimile : 01282 428171 Email : sales@sandiford.co.uk
  22. yeah seen these, but seems a faff taking off cover, and i guess it will do the job. Its just so annoying knowing that it can be done by simply placing a tester on side of barrell and takin a quickreading. Its really frustrating not been able to find one.
  23. ok which ones are you on about and also how do they work? Do you connect up to ht lead or place on cyclinder head and pick up inductively
  24. hi there, it goes round the lead on left side near coil, but its too close to take a reading, you need it as far away as possible. You cannot get in on right hand side near the spark plug. I think you will be fine on a two stroke. If you want one just let me know as i have one which i cannot use. just IM me please Also what snap on model was you on about please A guy at my local club has one you touch in cyclinder head and it takes a reading. Asked him where to get one and he said he got of ebay, but they dont seem to be on. Took the name and everything, googled it but nothing came up so im stuck
