  1. Pune (the mighty atom) is with TTT for his assault on the 2008 WTC.
  2. like everyone in the uk we would love to see doug win his 100th and more, and perhaps he may just have one of those days where he finds his form of yesteryear. However it has been suggested by some that a 4 stroke has been his downfall, or he was better on a two stroke. Since going 4 stroke. I chuck this into the debate. Is it not that bou has emerged on the scene who lets be honest is a special rider, raga gains experience more and more, fuji as mad as he is has a few years on him (doug's not getting any younger in comparison). Just think the competition has altered since being on a 4 banger. Dont get me wrong im 100% behind doug he is a legend, but we must just wait and see what happends this coming year. I like many hope whole heartedly hope he does it for himself. Im sat on the fence. It would be lovely, but he's got nothing to prove/lose
  3. i was exactly the same. HOWEVER. The more you ride it, the more you will begin to compare the 2 stroke pull/rev thing more and more. Its weird really you think the switch is easy but i think/feel its taking more time to get used too. Im into my second year and i reckon i still need another to be really comfortable. I now ride inters so this may give you an idea. First thing is find the grip on the engine. Very low on a four stroke, however sometimes you give it too little expecting it to pull and it spins then your buggered.lol. Also when you get to top of a rock or something it has a tendancy to fire you forward or up quickly at the end. Beware of this. Hope this helps. PS I will never change now i think, love it too much
  4. try central wheel company i think there based in birmingham, they make all wheels from scratch, just tell em what you want and they will make it. Not used em, but mates have and said they were good. Good luck
  5. Awsome photo's, thought maybe GIZZA5 might have been there as he's an old time boy, would love to see some pics GIZZA5. Come on get posting.
  6. thats your opinion dude, been overpriced. I guess you either have a small budget or short arms, long pockets syndrome. Its like anthing in this life you get what you pay for. Perhaps look at the Xispa bikes as they seem affordable perhaps to you.
  7. hi scottie, Not heard of a fan cutting out or not working so cannot help you on that one. Regarding restrictors this is quite straighforward. There are two in the exhaust and the easiest of the two to remove is in the front. Just unbolt the front pipe and as you take it of there is a metal tube inside with a collar on it. Simply pull it out with ya fingers. The second one is a little harder especially if the bike has been used a bit but if its only been used an hour you should be ok. When you split the front and rear pipe inside there on the tailpipe. What you do is you need gently open up the end with pliers or something then to remove the gauze type sleeve which can be awkward especially like i say if its been run a while get coked up and sticks. I used a thin gauge stick and gently teased down the sides to get out. Be patient it took me half an hour. Dont get me wrong you could rip it out in seconds but then you need a new one which costs you money. Once you have done this pull it out and the restricor will drop out. Now for the fun part. The bike will be so much more responsive, more easier to blip, blip if you know what i mean. Gotta go easy though as it can when it grips get a little punky.lol. Anyway see how you get on but my advise is take em out, honda didnt develop such an engine to be restriced did they. Any probs give us a shout. PS I tryed with just the front one out first and you may find this gives you enough extra power than standard. Its your call. NJOY
  8. I think the 4rt looks awsome, new graphics, black frame, add a mitani exhaust, black fat bars, and a set of raptors and starts looking punky. One thing i will say, take a casing of a 4rt and look at the internals, then compare. If your looking at the cosmetics ok its personal choice, you are individual on that one but look a bit further and a mont comes into a leugue of its own. Quite simple really if you dont like it fair enough each to their own.
  9. what bike are we refering to? I would like one for my montesa 4rt
  10. i have just bought some mint frame guards from GIZZA5's brother, they are black which is perfect for the 08 in carbon and look mint. They are a good price also. Instant message him for more details. They are a great price. They might be the ones on ebay you seen a while back. Tell him sectiononecleaner sent you, he'll like that.
  11. gizza great read, you must be sick of haggis. When's the book coming out then, could just see you there posing with the cleanest bike around a set of bag pipes and a kilt on front cover. Live the dream. Tomo

    08 4rt

heard they are on there way to uk, but dont hold your breath. Like a lot of things in trials, it just RUMOUR.
  13. yeah sad to hear this news today he was one crazy dude. Anyyone remember eddie kidd? I think he's in a wheel chair now, rememeber seeing him at amtree park (former butlins) north yorkshire. He was i suppose to uk version of Evel Knievel. RIP dude
  14. i use tie down method and works a treat, have you got a good compressor and are you making sure the valve is removed when you do this to blow enough air in? IF its a tube i aint done one of them but i reckon tis must be easier
  15. just bought one and have fitted yet, but i beleive they give you bolt on power at bottom end, plus the mitani is lighter and looks good. Try it.
  16. hey jeff, sounds like to many burgers. I too am a similar weight, I too have a 4rt and yes there is a stiffer spring made by jitsie, i looked at this also but i what put me off was not only cost but you dont get much better than a showa shock (ok ohlins is good) but i have taken the following approach. BOUGHT A RUNNNING MACHINE - LOOSE SOME FAT - RE ASSES IN 6 MONTHS Thats my thoery as i reckon if i can get down to 14 stone thats great, will let you know if its any better in 6 months. Be carefull as i did not to winde the spring up to much as it just becomes a pogo stick which is no good to get grip. It is annoying iknow but we cannot have it all ways. Try playing with rebound a bit, that helps. Good luck jeff rob
  17. Try a heavier spring, jitsie do one for riders over 85kg. I did this in my motocross days and what a difference, it was like floating on air. Remember the standard spring once compressed due to the bigger rider gives very little control over the rear shock, so i would suggest you go harder. Even winding the spring up to get the correct sag will just make it like a pogo stick which is no good obviously. What the jitsie spring is like i aint sure and at
  18. Pune will be a great assett to the team and iceing on the cake i reckon for his World Title this year. Richly deserved. Surely his confidence must be sky high, so come on pune, live the dream.
  19. Yeah my mont was the same when i first got it, they all do it. Gotta keep the beasts tamed. Dont worry about it, at least you know the fans working.
  20. Way i do it is yes you have to remove skid plate, but try just loosening bolts first then see if you can get to the filter, if not you may then need to remove. To be honest all you have to do is put the two allen screws underneath first then sit on a bike stand and it pushes the plate nearer the holes. Still not lines up? Then push down on front end a little and it should come into line. GOOD LUCK.
