Hi all, Just an other Section, but not so nice as axulsuv has bought. It is almost complete only the headlight is missing, but i have already bought new plastics including a headlight. There is a lot of work to do before i will ride on it. First it must run, after that i will completely disassemble and clean it. I will keep you informed, and need perhaps some assistance.

"If I could get the serial number for the small pump" There is nothing written on the small pump only that it is a Keihin pump, If you look in the manual at the specs of the original pump then you have all the information for selecting a replacement smaller pump, but i did not succeed in finding one. I have a measured my own cam (2005) and a 2008 cam and timing is the same. Only the sports cam from the 260 kit has a different timing. There is a small change on the 2007 and later cams and that is the decompressor for easier start.

Which software version do you have, cause it's a fault what happens when software and ecu are not compatible, or battery voltage is to low. 05 settings tool for a single stage ptb and 07 settings tool for a twin map ptb. If i have the time i will translate my site montesa4rt.nl

If water and engine temp is getting to high ecu will reset to low safty revs perhaps this is your problem. Cheapest is to start switching temp. sensor in the lower of radiator

Frame has no changes over the years, only the frontfork has internal changes. And to end all fairy tales the camshaft is exactly the same as the 2005 camshaft at least till 2009. I have measured both and they are exactly the same. If you want an other camshaft you have to buy the HRC racing cam deliverd with the 260 kit. The only big difference is the ECU. A 2009 or later ECU on a 2005 model is so different. A reprogrammable ECU is a nice addition. To change the frame geometry there are modified linkplates available on the market.

I have done the rebore with a clearence of 0,02 -0,03 mm.

NOT TRUE. !!! A 280 works with the standard body and with the single and twin map PTB. The choice is to you.

it will also run with the standard body, but for the full benefits of the 280 you need a programmable throttle body

You have to split the cranckcase. Pictures are on my site fantic.nl. Take a look at "Restoratie 303" -> "Foto Album" -> "Motorblok Demt". On picture 5 is the kickstarter-shaft to be seen. The 303 and 301 engines are basically the same.
