They need money, money and money for further development, and they doesn't have it.
  5. The ECU changed each year (look at the partnumbers of each year) that makes the difference, i have several standard body's each with an other partnumber (last three numbers). About the cam-shape, i had spoken with a technician from the Montesa team at the Luxemburg GP last year.
  6. look at www.fantic.nl for identification
  7. The shape of the cam is exactly the same as the other 4rt's, only the decompressor has changed for better starting.
  8. no need to start a new website ! look at : http://www.manualz.info
  9. Hi, Spark is always weak when removed from head. Be sure that the throttle is REALY CLOSED when you try to start, leave the throttle closed while starting do not open it. when you push down the kickstarter do it slowly not the way you should do as with a 2 stroke.
  10. Also in Holland, Italy, Germany and France
  11. Hi Lee, He misses some parts which are left in the lower tube ???? I think he has to take care that he has all the parts, and with the drawing which i had send to you it must be possible to build it to gather in the right way !!!
  12. Lee, It is very difficult to remove powdercoating with glassblasting. First they need a bath in a "paint remover", then a light glass blasting. After that the relining and at last light glassblasting directly followed with the powdercoating.

But there is also a HRC sportscam 14100-NLC-000 available. What are the differences / specs between these 3 cams ?
  21. fantic303 replied to hughesy's topic in Montesa
There is an other partnumber for a cam : 14100-NN4-C00 I think it is the 07 cam but i have ask it before to several people from who i was thinking that they know something about the 4RT, but there is no one in the whole world who has or can answer this question. Look at the following link : www.cmsnl.com Even the Montesa factory itself won't answer this question !!!!!! Lewisports in the USA has a kit with the 07 cam for sale: lewisports

Hi, It is a known problem if you are talking about the bolt NR 12 from the partslist Page E15. A few days ago this message was on a France forum which describes the problem: Solution should be the replacement of the bolt with a socket bolt.
  23. I think all the big bore kits are much to expensive in comparison with a original cylinder and piston. An cylinder with a bore of 76 mm is basically the same as a cylinder with 80 or 80.5 mm bore. Why is it so much more expensive ??? perhaps for the piston you can say that they use more material but that is not so much so that it justifies the price. There are not much development cost to a big bore. The cams needs development so you have to pay it, and besides that they are a lot dififcult to make.
  24. Ok... but what is different is it the the timing?????? and if so what are the values of the timing. 2005 / 2006 --------------------------------------- Inlet Open 6 deg BTDC Inlet Close 27 deg ABDC Exhaust Open 30 deg BBDC Exhaust Close 1 deg ATDC Fact is that the partnumbers are equal
  25. Does someone with a 2007 4RT can tell me what the service manual from the 2007 says about the valve timing, and what these values are ? They say that the 2007 Mont has another camshaft, but in the 2007 partslisting the part number is the same as in the partslist from a 2005 montesa.
