  1. Araldites good. Wait till it just starts to "go off" and you can mould it and then force it into the hole. It then mushrooms on the inside of the rad and stops pressure forcing the araldite plug back out. Liquid metal is also good.
  2. You can save yourself a fortune on riding gear. I use steel toe cap wellies, a leather Mankini and gardening gloves. When I use this outfit I always get really good scores off the lady observers and all other competitors seem to not want to look at me and follow behind.
  3. links to these pegs anyone?

    S3 Pipe

    Longer the better.
  5. Contact cleaner on plastic followed by drying and warming stickers and plastic with a hairdrier. Give yourself all day to do it. Measure up, check measure again, carefully stick - smooth down hard - leave 24 hrs to stick properly.
  6. try lifting the wheel in 2nd and 3rd gear. More torque and less speed. Its far smoother in a higher gear and you would be unlucky to flip it but at least you wouldknow the point of no return!
  7. I think its just a horn. Have you googled it?
  8. Take time to read the manual and set the fork preload etc for your weight. Get a mate round and set rear sag etc. It will help a lot. Its worth getting a solid block of stone or wood to practice wheelying over and stopping on etc. I use pices of old sleeper bolted together. Also make up 10 pairs of "section" flags. I used white duct tape squares on coat hanger wire. Set these out wherever you practice. It will be second nature to head through the gates when you trial it. If a novice set up gates to go up and down slopes with 90 degree or tighter turns, also across slopes etc.
  9. Go for a daytime mot as it's a lot less hassle in the long run. The lights are naff!
  10. Start as slow as poss at the top of the slope/hill as well. Keep momentum in check. Follow all other advice. Practice. Practice. Practice. Don't panic you will get better. I am probably worse. Keep smiling at least your riding!

    Rev 4T Sorted

I agree. My rev3 2t runs sweet as a nut on V power or Tesco 99. I use A747 as well and have no issue on this spec petrol. If I use 95 it runs rough as hell. I have a 2.5 turbo charged Subaru as well which seems to like better spec fuels also. More MPG (slightly) but much better throttle connection in both vehicles. I know its expensive but as both are my pride and joy I treat them!
  12. You will be fine if turning it into a trail tool. 300's are only a handful when needing to be very delicate in a section (and if like me have no throttle control).
  13. Anyone know the general area? Rocks? Roots? Mud?
  14. Air leak in an intake or exhaust joint.
  15. They no longer offer this service as the bloke that did them left. Apparently the shock can only be rebuilt if drilled out and a schrader valve fitted in the hole to re presurise? I've now tried loads of places and I get the same reply (or none at all) "oh, not that I'm afraid, not sure they can be rebuilt" etc etc.
  16. Well done D. Good luck with whatever happens next.
  17. Get a 200! Even a 250 can be a handful. I came from the enduro world after years on big bore 2t and 4t bikes (300EXC, 525, XR600 etc). I rode expert and had good results. I started trials on a Raga 300 as I thought it would be fine. Oh how wrong I was! Trials uses throttle control like nothing else. I have found the 200 so good and I can tackle most things without the fear of the bike taking off to much or breaking traction when you least expect it. Try and get a test on several bikes - even just a pootle about outside a shop will show the differences.
  18. Thats why a fresh batch for every ride is the way ahead. I use the rest in the lawn mower or car. I mix a litre at a time so most of the time i'm not mixing up too much to start with. The only time I ever mix 5lts is if out all day etc.
  19. Can you post a post code along with the first and last letter of their name? Surely that can't hurt?
  20. Have you checked the obvious such as fuel flow and spark etc?
  21. Tape up headlight wires - mine does not have a light fitted either. The stand is a bit naff. Mine has a plastic bobbin attached to the end to raise it an inch. Try replacing the whole bolt bit and while its off either pack out with suitable washers or use a vice to squeeze it up a little or a bit of both.
