  1. Do a little research and your question will be answered. Yes, exchange is available, cheaper to have it rebuilt. Beta USA can hook you up with some one to rebuild it and parts for the rebuild. I'm guessing on 2-3 weeks to get it done depending on how much you want to spend on shipping. Or call your Canadian importer and ask them.
  2. If I remember right Trials City did bring Smage down to the October Test last year on his dime, his vehicle and did most if not all of the driving. So both of you two line up and may the best rider win then sit down and have a beer ! Ringo did offer one !
  3. Good luck to Ringo and all who race in Vegas ! Any carnage we want photos and video ! I got a call from Ron Commo who is on his was to Vegas with Ronnie who is going to race in Vegas, he has the first 09 290 EVO in the states with him, so check it out !
  4. Valve adjustment- Inlet clearance 0.10mm Exhaust clearence 0.15mm Oil-.81 of engine oil Bardhal XTC60 15w50 I rotate mine on the swing arm pivot while on the stand.
  5. Sherco quiet exhaust should be a good choice and if you need it more quiet then add the Jitsie db.
  6. Copie if you come to Kansas on saturday i'll take the carb off and let you see how it works. I have to work sunday as of right now unless vacation opens up. If you try you can stall anything. The Sherco is strong it's 317cc it just has to be. The stock scorpa at 250 cc works like the stock beta at 250cc add more cc's and it just get's better. I found the pilot circuit plugged on this one, that's why it was a bugger to start, now I can start it hot or cold first or second kick. By bumping the idle a little it helps to keep them from stalling. Make you a deal on the 4-t sherco I have. You would make it a good home ! Then you could go thumping !
  7. Rip-Rap, after about 12 trips threw it in 3 days I had enough myself Cope, 3rd gear heals back and hang on for 300-400 yards, SWEET ! Section 3 was like a mini rip-rap for the morning riders. How about the woods ride, that was fun. I had a great time racing Ben and Bear through there, we were all smiling. See ya in Kansas.
  8. Thanks Jon, section 3 that you judged was the only morning section I set up sounds like it was a good one. Nothing like a good rock field, that was my morning version of the afternoon Rip Rap sections for the afternoon riders. I think some of them said the same thing. See you in Kansas !
  9. Take a few minutes and clean the carb just for precautions we found a little piece of plastic in a new 09 the other day that was causing starting and running problems. After that it ran great, what a motor, park the john deer tractor !
  10. The October Test went off well ! A lot of riders and a Great fish fry with all the trimmings for the riders and their guest. Dale and Ryan brought the new 09 bikes for all to try ! Thank You ! I just want to say Thank You to all who came and rode and say it's the riders who make this a great event.
  11. Cope can you explain something to me ? How can you call something sweet as you say without ever riding this bike ? Now i'll admit it is a nice bike as I have rode Waynes bike and it is sitting in my garage. I'll get to compare it to the 09 tomorrow ! And you are right I don't ride the stuff I use to heck 3 surgerys and 45 you just got to know when to say enough and go back to having fun.
  12. October Test start time is posted on the clubs web site www.neott.com I believe it's 9:00 am
  13. No procs coming ! Maybe a pro or two ? or Cope and I can have a go, you in Cope ? 2-stroke vs. 4-stroke ! Let the thump, thump, thump begin.
  14. We were discussing this last night so it should be on the clubs web site www.neott.com I'll going out in the morning to start taping some sections with fun and points in mind.
  15. I would hope that the sections will be fun and take a few points, the classes you mentioned I would like to see the winner have around 15 points and be fun. I'll be going out to work on the sections tomorrow. Hensley put Texas on your calender for next year !
  16. It was a very good trial, fun sections and a great loop.
  17. Mark ,been heating the sherco airbox at the back for several years, it helps take the twist out of the rear fender and like you said on and off with the rear fender better ! Would recommend this to any sherco owner. I liked your bike being smooth of the bottom , just like a strong mid range. Kind of like the last sherco you bought from me. That's why I thought you would like the slow throttle on the beta.
  18. I did enjoy the bike on the cambers, but couldn't cristen in the rocks like I wanted to it needed a turn or two on the spring, just no lift. Yes Copie he he. I'll see you next week. Tomorrow i'll let Wayne have a go on the Beta with full power in the back yard . I think Wayne was a little disapointed as I was counting 7,8,9,10,11,12,13, then it light off on 14 probly a little lean from the gas I gave him or the good air here in Oklahoma, more flow !

    300 Beta!

Thanks Mark ! I enjoyed the 2- day in Texas. I road the event with a stock throttle that I modified so it would come on slower the first third on a turn it helped in those rollie pollie rocks , soft dust turns. Every time I ride this bike I just smile. Wayne should be at my house tonight so i'll get to have a go on his sherco tomorrow at Langley. Now which rock shall I cristen it on. See you in Langley !
  20. Have you done the hot start mod ? If not do it, it works. It's posted in the sticky above the post. There is a fuel screw in the bottom of the carb, it's a little difficult to get to, Jitsie makes one and life a hole lot better. So with that said try and adjust the fuel screw some. Mine come stock at 1 7/8's out and am now probly around 2 1/2 to 3 turns out. When the bike is hot pull the hot start and when it starts push it back in. Just put the bike in nutral to start any you and the bike will be happier. I have a 300 with the factory aluminum pipe, sweeeeeet !
  21. Any RYP dealer or www.rypusa.com can hook you up. There is two training dvd's, one basic and the other is advanced.
  22. Go to www.betatrialuk.com click on tech info, click on year, and you will get all the info you need.
  23. You haven't seen Shak lately probly 30lbs lighter, he's into triathalon sh*t. His Sherco thanks him ! Now this Raga stuff your talking about was this a dream between light beers or drifting in thought while driving your diesel ? You know I don't own anything that's a beater as you say. I've already scratched it, dropped it in the garage, cost me a new lever. Back to softing or slowing down the clutch , you can slide the master cylinder in or out to change the pivot point to make the ingagement quicker or slower.
  24. I think it was an 06, rider doesn't use the clutch for a lot of slip an go, well he did after he took 2 springs out. I road the bike and was impressed with what he was doing, I couldn't ride it. Yes you got the name right. Copie see ya in Texas, bring your insurance card and have a go on the 4-stroke, i'll put the slow throttle on it if you want. This one run about like the last sherco you got from me.
