  1. As far as new exposure I know that trials comp is getting ready to get bigger !!! along with trials it will expand out to include enduro's. Look for this to happen around November. A new trials bike is in line with a new motocross or enduro bike last time I looked. Most trials riders are really tight with there money as far as spending. I have seen 2 out of the 3 trials importers spare parts supply and can say is I was impressed with the amount of parts I seen. They have a lot of money sitting on the shelves for support of there product. With the euro and dollar exchange it does make the bike and parts a little pricey at times. A new trials rider looking for a used bike would be looking in the market of $1500 -$2000 now to find a used bike in good condition he's looking at $2800- $4000. Then you can look around most things have gone up over the years ! Look at what it cost to run a motocross or enduro bike for a year and trials is CHEAP ! I have seen alot of new trials rider in the past not return to ride another trials because the beginner or novice class was to hard or not fun. And when you try and tell the club that I know in this area they wouldn't listen, untill it was to late. The club in my area ust to have 40-50 riders ,I hear they have 10-20 now. And yes i'm not one of the club riders here now. One thing they do have is Jon Stoodly he goes around with the new rider to help them. I would hope every club has someone like him to help the new riders who show up for there first time. Flame on.
  2. A 200 or 250 will work really well. Good dealer support might play into a deal also. Check around maybe a few dealers would let you take a spin.
  3. As per some of the other post put together. Take the fork off the bike , remove spring, drain the oil in a clean container- i'm assuming you have clean oil inside now, insert broom handle, turn fork upside down, apply pressure againt the fork pulling down ward to the floor, tighten the 8mm allen with a battery impact or lightly with a air impact. Done several this way at the nationals in Tennesse last month. Take about 10-12 minutes to a fork seal on the left side form taking it off the bike to back on.
  4. Looks like Vermont was kind of on the down low for info. You can go to the NATC site under Results to see the results.
  5. Yes they fit it's the same reed set. Maybe some one will chim in on how they work in the EVO.
  6. I'm guessing it's the order of finish was the same for both days.
  7. Ishy had a much better day on sunday and was a lot happier than on saturday ! 3- 4-5-then 6 . Good seeing you Ishy !
  8. Trials city I think they are trying something differant to see how people like it. I don't think any money is involved, will know in a couple of days. It's going to be warm there. Come on down.
  9. Copie are you going to make it ? This trip going were going to make it to the jack danials distillery on the way down !
  10. Shak and Shan shot some vidio and have put together a dvd, I have been given a advance copy to give some feed back on, all I can say is SWEET ! Shak did the beta basic mantainance dvd with me and all I can say is if he can make me look good is, he is a magician with a camera and editing machine.
  11. You guessed right ! Give DeBolt a call and visit with him. The spring he uses will be what you are looking for. As far as the front, PVC pipe is cheap to try, I would suggest starting with a 1/4 inch longer and work from there a 1/8 inch at a time. You can only go so far with the spacer. It will only take a few minutes to change.
  12. One of the Beta dealers out East has done a few springs, maybe he'll chime in. I have talked to a spring company about doing some springs but sold my evo due to injury so I didn't get to do any at this time. So it has been done and I will have some done for my next evo.

    Rev4 Spark Plug

I have had 2- Rev 4's, 07,08, & an evo and have not changed a plug in any of them all have ran fine. No problems with plugs, good fuel and a little jetting.
  14. There is a reported mud section on sunday, I remember riding it several years ago nasty green goo ! Didn't get to see any riding today, the furthest I got away from the beta camp was about 30 feet. Copie I ought to be healed up again in time for my new 2010 bike.

Go to the natc web site, all the info you need will be found there.
  17. Yes it is normal, installing the fork brace will help alot in putting the front wheel back on after servicing the forks, just leave it a little loose so you can square the forks up.
  18. The Jitsie screw is an excellent addition to the 4-stroke beta. Best to pull the carb so you can see the stock screw, turn the stock screw in and count how far it is out and set the jitsie at the same turms out to start with. No special tools needed, just a few basic tools.
  19. Yes, Ben did make it with Bear. Both had a smile and and looked to have had a good time. Maybe next time you can make it Copie. Talk is a national there next year.
  20. Copie I sent you a PM to answer the question and includes Jon.
  21. Jon nice photos ! The reeds that broke in Pats bike were aftermarket, I hear that from now on he'll be using the stock reeds.
  22. Copie you missed a good event ! The only problem with the event was to many people in some of the pro sections, no problem with the 4 minder that should be there but then there would be a dozen want a be's in the section also. I tore the medial muscle in my right calf, it controls your ability to move quickly like jump or run and even walk. Very painful ! You'll like this part Copie I get an injection in the stomach each morning for 3 weeks. So it looks like i'll sell the Evo 4-t and wait for an 2010. Not happy I really like my 09 4-t.
  23. Just got home, what a weekend ! On saturday Cody took a swim up to his neck, got up shook it off and smiled ! Priceless. Patrick took a 5 in the same spot on his next attempt, wet boots. I would like to thank Jerry Clark for the use of his 4-wheeler for the weekend we call it the handy cap mobile. Stapped a spare parts box to it and my tool back pack just in case it was needed. Cope ? Where were you ? City Trials I had a bottle of wine for you, but no show, maybe at the nationals. Time for some hydrocodone.
