Last Man Standing was shown on NBC's hour long Jeep World last Sunday. That was prime-time TV at it's finest. Geoff Aaron got major play - both with interview commentary and on bike action. His description of the action and praise of Knighter and Taddy showed Geoff hasn't lost his touch for being a humble champion.

I love it. Now you guys are getting the feeling we're having in the states. Extreme events showcase trials skills like none other. The 'who's the dude without a seat' comments still crack me up!
-
Good luck with Marta's new e-mail. LOL.

I got those two photos of Caby and nothing else also. What's up with that?

This is just great news to hear Ron. Italy seems to be the hotbed of trials at the moment.
-
Here's my one armed, trials riding cousin 'Wild Bill' Smage.
-
How much more can I give to win?
-
Come on now, stop the teasing, let's see some videos.
-
Would it be wrong to ask? Should I wait for the story, videos and photos? Was Alexz piloting the TRW Future Monty?
-
It's hard to believe Raga didn't make the top five. Unless he didn't show up.

Who is Lane (AKA Mich Lin)?
A.) 1972, 1973, 1974 AMA National Champion. Hung around the top 10 until 1980. Married a trials girl named Debbie Evans. Opened a stunt business in Hollywood. Found the internet in 2003. Got banned from TC in 2007.

A fine off-season snag for Beta USA. Ron, when you get a photo of Keith on the new Beta, send it over and I'll post it on the TC home page. This news deserves far more than a forum thread. Also it'll be nice to see Keith and the Beta at the EnduroCross '08 series.

Hey Brian, I've been thinking about you this week. That fancy Sherco front license plate you gave me cost me a 100 buck ticket. The city of chicago recently passed a law saying you couldn't have a plank or vanity style front plate. It has to be the regular plate itself. I forgot about the enforcement dates starting Dec 1st - and got nabbed with a hefty citation. I took it off and it's now on the mantle.

Jive and I were talking and wondered why no one wanted to participate in the top stories of the year. We figured out that's not what people want to talk about. They want to talk gossip and trash. So with that, we'll do something TC readers love to do. Anonymously trash each other. Not being a anon, I'm not allowed to compete. So, I'll do mine as a exhibition.
My "Commenter of the Year" was a choice of four. Mich Lin, Ice Prick, Ringo and Comech.
* Mich started off strong, but quickly got banned for his crazy ideas and name-calling. Plus he really got the website owner mad. This eliminated him from the contest early on.
* Ringo was spotty all year. Shows up for a few days, then gets lost for months on end. He's TC's version of a stray cat.
* Comech. What can we say about him, other than we can always count on a snide, sarcastic remark late at night. One wonders if he's chugging down a bottle of Ron Lee's wine while he's staring at the computer screen with crossed eyes.
Well, that leaves one left. Ice Prick. Ice Prick came on the scene and just tore it up. Everyone wants to know who the little cock is. He's rude and he's elusive and he peppers me with stupid TC private messages. He is the 2007 commenter of the year.
Okay, let's hear for other TC forum users. Who's your commenter of the year?
-
What a great year for USA trials. Nice upbeat post Clive. I'd like to hear what others around the country thought of this year. And it doesn't have to be all our national riders.
Maybe some of you thought events like Trials Training Day's was your favorite. Or Octobertest. Or your son or daughter just won their first local event. Add that to the list. Mine's a bit more bias of course.
1) Hands down, Patrick wins first FIM world round in Italy. (Costs me a pretty penny, but worth it.)
2) Patrick wins second world round in Czech Republic with a clean day. (Ditto)
3) Patrick accepts AMA 'Athlete of the Year'.
4) Patrick wins AMA/NATC National Championship.
5) Tdn team finishes sixth.
6) To be continued.
7) Colton (4th - Las Vegas) and Keith (2nd - Denver - 4th - Oklahoma) finishing in the top five at the AMA EnduroCross events. This started a fire-storm. Thanks Nick.
8) Geoff Aaron promoting trials with a strong 2nd place finish at LMS. Aaron's not only making a new name for himself, he hasn't forgot his roots and is letting the world know it. Kudos' to Geoff. A real class act champion.
9) All other trials riders who competed in the EnduroCross series. No one can argue, this sport has sky-rocketed the view of trials riders among the off-road community.
10) Patrick opening round AMA smoker and keeping it close against Shaun Morris in NM.
Not top ten, but still special. Phillip competing in the EnduroCross series and our family weekend in Vegas. Who knew Grandma would want to go too?
Honorable Mention. Our District 16 Baraboo and Elkhorn events. (Our whole family shows up for these events. That's what trials is all about to me, being with family.)

As they say, they'll get here when they get here.

How come every photo I saw, Noel was lying around like he was on vacation or something?

Don't know why the link doesn't work?

Centrally Speaking, looks like Mike Rapley has next weeks subject for his column.
-
This was coming since the first round in Denver. Yes, it really puts a dent in the sport. The whole underdog thing really excited me enough to get involved in the first place. Not to worry, I'll run the trials class and we'll get a big-boy bike for Phil.
-
So what. He's a big Hollywood big-wig now. I wish people would stop ragging on Lane. He's given his life to trials. He's donated his fare share to the tdn. Leave Lane out of this.
-
Can anyone make some sense what's going on at the AMA? In a nutshell, the AMA brings in a new guy. THe new guy is one paranoid SOB. One said SOB boss dumped two long-standing workers - who by all accounts are loyal, hard-working employees. Said boss hauls them out of the building like criminals.
Then the fall-out comes. One employee demands the reversal of said firing. Next, a board member resigns. . As this is playing out, all employees are working in an environment of fear. Then, the AMA website goes down.
Is the AMA falling apart?
-
To make false accusations regarding members of this forum, especially under a anonymous name, demonstrates a total lack of class. Not to mention the lack of courage. Ice-prick is most defiantly a first class sick-o/pervert. At least when someone like Bingo calls City Trials a sick-o, everyone knows who they're talking about.

"When will this thread EVER END?" Someone in control, please, we're begging you, put a stop to this maddness.
