    For peace of mind its worth knowing the truth, I think you have to make appointment at dvla, some of the staff are really helpfull. The original frame may have been damaged and replaced. You can register an off road vehicle free, this might be the way to identify if there is a problem.

    If you have to use a rattle gun to get if off, chances are you will have to use one to get it tight. I guess it takes a bit of mechanical sympathy ! (unless your ham2 fisted)

    How did you pay for it ? If Visa / Mastercard you would have some protection if the worst was true.

    Rockshocks really good, John will build them to suit bike, weight, geometry etc. Marzzochi forks ? 30 year old springs ? New springs from Bultaco UK are about £30 + ATF will make a huge difference. (they wont be as good as modern forks)

    If your using the same hub and spacers, the only thing that has changed is the dish of the wheel. Front to rear alignment is meaningless unless you have the pre rebuild dimensions to compare.
