  1. Go to a company that recovers seats / upholsters. Had mine done recently £30.
  2. Was wondering where you had disappeared to slapperstien, we had a fly bye from the Red Arras today to make us feel at one with the Olympics ! Have they ventured over you yet ? Ross

    Trials Tyres

    Keep your old X11's, IMO
  4. Because she will be wanting nightclub while you want Horlicks !

    Btc Poll

What conclusions do you draw from this ?
  6. Hillary's better looking though.
  7. Pre 65/twin shock were/are run together by some clubs, and as you well know the difference between a vaguely original pre65 and tricked (non?) twin shock is vast, so in my opinion not a viable format.
  8. Think we have come full circle, why is it ok to destroy a twin shock/pre65 with a modern front end ? Think I will have to be more selective in choosing events as it is a shame not to use it more.
  9. Probably just lack of entry's/interest in ACM's at the moment. I rode a national at the weekend, which had a pre65 class (no entries and not really suitable in my opinion) twin shock, 1 entry - me. No ACM class, 1 ty250. Haven't seen any results but would think it will be pretty high scoring, even on the B route. Which brings me back to the original question/request to amalgamate the two groups with handicap system if thought unnecessary. If you cant get a decent entry in your part of the world for ACM's, its less likely here with a smaller, spread out, trials riding population. Ross
  10. I'l make an exception for you Paul ! The "helpful" Groundhog comments don't appear for the endless what new bike, what cc, 2 stroke or 4 stroke, how to check a stator, boots, how to bleed clutches / brakes questions, what 2 stroke oil/quantity.
  11. Hi Alan Having ridden a fairly standard B40 for 20 or more years I probably fall into the group you mention. Its the bizarre attitude to modifying of ACM's that confuses me. Ross
  12. I usually just ignore comments that bore me, but occasionally I make exceptions ! Answers from Scotland only please, where there is (as far as I am aware) no supported air cooled mono class.
  13. Non Bikes :- who decides ? What's the criteria ? Ariel with thinly disguised betor forks - ok Belt driven diaphram clutches - ok Billet hubs & yokes - ok Replica frames - ok Twin shock a mono - ?????????
  14. Think he meant David !

    Tl320 Seat

Looks to me as if the SWM logo has been sown into a new piece of seat covering ?
  16. Hi BJ I do know where your coming from, but when entry's could be boosted might be worth considering. Sections don't have to be any different, scores could be multiplied by 1.2 or some such. (it might get twin shocked yet, but would be a shame) Ross
  17. Does it catch Air Cooled Mono's ?

    Back Box's

Thanks motosinge83, Bultaco Box ? Is the SWM exactly the same ? Ross

    Back Box's

Thanks, outside half seems to have no connection to the inner baffled part from memory, maybe the perforations were completely full of carbon !

    Back Box's

Thanks woody & zisko62, I have a spare box and was toying with the idea as I have to open it anyway to fix loose baffles. zisko62, any idea of other modifications to the bike ? Think its a late frame judging by the footrest position ? (Are those Gas Girlings, I never particularly liked them.) Cheers Ross Woody, I repack the front box fairly regularly, anything to be done to the back one ?

    Back Box's

(No, not that sort) Any information on the modifications that quite a few SWM's seem to sport ? Are they all home grown, or is someone making them. What are the advantages ? The following picture is from the "CampoCanavese2012" (thanks Mike) Ross (Dannilo Galeazzi's bike)

Have you looked here ? http://www.motoswm.com/
  23. I had an ignition cover welded successfully many years ago, unfortunately the company no longer trades, but it is possible.
