    Pistons

Anybody used this company ? (dont think Martin M does pistons) Any other alternatives ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SWM-and-ROTAX-280-O-S-Piston-kit-brand-new-76-mm-std-/140616769794?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item20bd69a102#ht_500wt_1202 Thanks Ross

    SWM TL 320 1982

The Marzocchi might give a more "modern " position !
  5. I've driven a car up that "special test"
  6. You can get the 18t engine sprocket here, see details re engine casing ! http://www.trialsbits.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=85_182_257&products_id=689 Incidentally I use 15 / 62 with 428 chain on the B40, some clever person will be able to work out if its the same as 13 / 72. But has the advantage of a slightly smaller rear sprocket for clearance. Ross

Is that top yoke original ? Marzzochi are further forward aren't they ?
  8. If you look at the history of daisy3279( 39) its per una clothing and wet look pvc leggings, pretty sure I would remember a midget in PVC trying to start a 500 Norton !
  9. I was told the 125 had a different crank, flywheel etc ?
  10. Hi Brian What are you looking for ? Ross PM me if you want.
  11. Perth are running a trial at Comrie, suitable for pre-65 / twin shock. Anybody going to ride pre-65 ? Ross
  12. I think the difference is a cut thread removes material, a rolled thread squeezes it to form the thread, ie no material lost. The nipples are obviously designed to accommodate. If you use a nipple on a cut thread there is little contact / strength.
  13. You could run a die down to help calculate the length, but not for the actual wheel build. Spoke threads are rolled, not cut.
  14. Norton Road Holder. Must be good as every Pre-65 has them, apart from mine.
  15. Which other events should I not miss this year ?
  16. Can anyone name 7 pre-65 trials in Scotland ? 1 The pre-65 of course. 2 Highland 2 day. 3 Perth & District & Scottish Classic have been making an effort in club trials, & Abington. 4 ?
  17. Is it my imagination, or have those footrests been moved back a smidge ?
  18. TQF is supposed to be about 7.
  19. If you haven't bought anything yet go for the 1.85. If you need George Spence (the wheel builder)tel no just ask. He's at Cupar. Ross
  20. Highland Classic Two Day is worth the trip, either pre-65 or twin shock, it's the lack of modern bikes that make the difference. (IMO)
  21. Willie, I just had a look at the TC events calendar and don't think your event is listed, might be wrong. If people don't know about it they will probably go to the Dalmelington/Stevenson one that is listed. Ross Don't know if I'll go to either as have a late night on Sat.
  22. Thanks TooFastTim What do you mean dig out the TT suit, still wearing it. Not strictly true, but I do have a SWM jacket circa 1982. Ross
