Cota 309 Wiring
Is it points ignition ? If so and you aren't using lights, you probably dont need a rectifier. Trace the wire from the points, then connect it to the coil with a condensor mounted by the coil.

Montesa Cota 348 - Sprockets, chain, tyres, tubes, rimlocks
Akront rims usaually have the WM size stamped on the rim. Got Talon rimlocks, no better at securing the tyre (in my experience) but should last longer than standard ones.

As above, but also get some shin/knee protection. Down hill cycle stuff is good and generally light.- Coppa Slip
Thanks for the reply's, I have been using it for years, but a friend (chemistry graduate)sowed the seed of doubt. The only place I never lubricate is the plug thread, always seems to be enough oil kicking about to do the job. I've noticed that the steel ignition case saver never rusts, even with no paint, so some sacrificial process is going on. Ross- Coppa Slip
I don't need any convincing on the benefits of coppa slip, however, should it be used on Rotax motors? Will the motor act as a sacrificial anode ? - Pilot jet and needle
