Bit like my wife, put dirty fingermarks on new bits, but doesnt fool her either.

Instead of disabling the bikes, why dont we disable the thieves ? (I've got a chainsaw)

Its a chicken & egg with me, I dont ride pre 65 more frequently as few clubs cater for them, and its not that much fun if only one or two turn up. Equally the clubs dont cater for only one or two pre 65 riders.

If I have to go down that route I'le go back to the bike breakers and get an old rod and cut to suit.

Hi Wayne
Yes it had a spring, but during the replacement of the wheels the adjuster "dis-appeared" I've tried breakers but cant get one with the same thread, so thought it might be simpler to make a new one. e mailed Venhill via the link kindly supplied by tikka65, they wont supply brake cables (incase I crash & sue presumably) so a bit stuck at the moment.

As some else suggested recently - try Screwfix, they have heat resistant matting for plumbers soldering. Pretty sure its flexable.

Thanks tikka65 & trialsoldtimer, any other suggestions ?

Hi, can anybody point me in the direction of a supplier for the parts to make up a rear brake cable for my B40. (Trialsbits cant help)
Dont want to use a rod as the brake comes on as the suspension compresses.
Thanks in advance

Name and shame who sold it.

My trailer of 20 years has no "back", bike sits on the sump guard. Easier to store trailer. I prefer ropes from lower triple clamp, out 45 degrees, put tension on, but never to the extent of fully compressing suspension. Rear secured from footrest, under trailer frame and up to other footrest.

Ordered another one from trialsbits about 3pm yesterday, delivered this morning. How about that for service.

Have a shot on a pre65 4stroke, them tell me its heavy. They seem to get lighter the more you ride them !
