Snowseal from any walking shop works pretty well. Its also about feeding and conditioning the leather, as much as waterproofing.

I ran at 32:1 for 20 years, same piston, same main bearings. You have to make the decision if the nano second in engine response is worth changing bearings/pistons if you run at 80:1.

    5 & 4, whatever the conditions.
  4. What a great site, very rare that companys are prepared to give so much information.
  5. Get any reputable brand, fairly tight and stick some plastic shin / knee protectors down the inside. In my opinion, if it isnt hard plastic it wont really do anything.
  6. Fidel Castro's Rs ?

Most of that is very nice (purist) How does it grip ? Whats are the tank and forks ? Really like the nickel frame, ball park cost and who did it please.

They talk about a nomial fee, can you define ?
  9. I second that, main bearings also seam to last a lot longer. (see Beta thread)

Use decent quality silicon, screwfix do a sanitary silicon for about
  11. Great pics, could be Scotland.
  12. If you do a search you should get all the info as this has been covered fairly recently.

Official warning re - HAM2 . You have been warned.
  14. Are they doing a stretched version ? I hope not.

Torque if possible. Might be an idea to put copaslip on to stop this happening again.

500 psi should do it. Alternativly remove the silencer, this generally increases power by upwards of 37.3 %.

Easy way to raise the gearing is to get longer shocks.
  18. Would that not just conduct the heat ? Loft insulation with foil and glass wool might work and should compress.
  19. Think it was Experts, saw it with mine own beads, how we laughted, Michael still had his feet on the rests and hands on handlebars.
  20. I was being flipant in my first answer, but see comic injuries re splitting the membrane on the front of my shin re my second response. Ross
  21. Achallader (sp) I think
  22. Reminds me of Michael Tye of Oban, flipped the bike in a steep burn, ended up on his back in the burn with the bike on top, water flowing in through the waist of his jacket and spouting out the neck.

Non o ring chain. Wash in petrol, blow crap off with compressor, boil in chain wax or similar. (wont look shinie though)
  24. Its a good sized tank, 20 - 30 miles. But will vary dramatically depending on what gears/speed your doing. Camping shops sell Sigg metal bottles specifically for carring fuel for petrol stoves etc.
  25. Use whatever chain you want. Personally if I read of recurring problems I try to avoid the potential problem.
