  1. is that the hub with two bearings on one side? Is the centre spacer in right? put the spindle in the empty hub and spin, add brake spin, add spacer make sure its all ok, then put together in the swinging arm.
  2. Saw it last night and it will be a great event for sure.
  3. Just glasses for you if you think the greeves looks different to a sherco. wheres the photo?
  4. Its cheating the club has an aircooled monoclass he should be in that, surely.
  5. I think if you refer to the acu classic rules it clearly states that the bike must have been originally manufactured (sp) with twinshocks. If not then the bike should be out. I think this is sensible as the argument on this particular bike is more grey because of its age. An approach along the lines of would it be fair as stated above if I weld on two shocks on my evo and compete in that class that would patently be against the spirit of it.So its wrong as you can't draw a fair line with adding two shocks.
  6. pep up a 290?????!!???????
  7. perhaps if you aimed for 25/75 would that give you 95 octane?
  8. I think the cost of the yamaha engines may have been a part of their financial troubles. The little four stroke is not a trials engine but has its uses.
  9. Why does it look identicle on the outside then?
  10. Wonder if the consistent petrol europe wide 95/98 octane may help us? Perhaps race gas is exaggerating the problems?
  11. Funny thing is and I wonder who is right but over here very few mess with jets and slides yet in the states its almost the opposite? Is this because thats the normal thing with MX's? Occasionally pilot jets but slides hardly ever.
  12. So the tech said go too fast or too slow with no pilot imput is that right?
  13. Isn't this technology why the Air france plane crashed?
  14. That'll be january then?
  15. Go back to basics, new plug spotless filter, strip and rebuild carb, q/a throttle super smooth little or no free play, then mess with pilotscrew and airscrew then pilot jets
  16. I'm guessing the pump will be because the fuel is lower than the carb?
  17. Right so you weren't refering to the evo's at all!!!!!!!!!!
  18. The evo hasn't had any electrical problems has it? Never seen one catch fire either. Certainly the fuel spillage doesn't happen with a re route of the breather which has been done on the later bikes I believe.
  19. same engine. (jcm) filter and tank reversal, interesting.
  20. No thats an Italian tank.
  21. nigel dabster replied to no jive's topic in USA Trials
Whos lined up for replacing Will? Will smage come a week early and ride the Junoir WTC in France (not far from tdn?)
  22. Would that be The don smith who won the european championship? And at a time when brakes were not that good generally? How many ssdt sections go down hill? Thought so.
  23. Exactly. Cables are not good, and I'm guessing the brakes aren't brilliant anyway?
  24. Ahh jumpers for goalposts! Got to agree though, we were always out on our bikes (pedal) all summer long.
