I think tendonitis maybe something to do with an injury he sustained in castlewellan?
-
The rev 3 has a real different feel to a gasser. The evo is very similar to a gasser to ride, cc excepted.
-
Think you need to register for the whole series and you are put on a reserve list? There was a thread on here about it I'm sure, try the search function?
-
FFS answer the question what comment? I have expanded the war one so its not that so which one?
WARS ARE UNFORTUNATELY A THING WHICH GOT IN THE WAY OF THE TDF AND FOOTBALL AND EVERY OTHER SPORTING OCCASION, WHICH IS WHY BARTOLI WHO MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE WON MORE TOURS.
That was the context this whole thread was about, not the validity of wars, re read my post and the previuos ones and that is the context I meant.
Avoid name calling then you do just that? I'm off this is just daft.
-
more to the point does anyone believe any politician? What choice have we got come the next election?
-
http://www.hitler.org/ww2-deaths.html look at this and you may realise the more realistic figures.
Explain which of my comments was crass, please?
Get over what?
Rebuke from you? Respect comes before that muppet.
Slapshot probably knows alot more than me, I've just watched it for 30 years and only seen 5 stages in real time.
I repeat again why comment when you are just choice quoting to make a supercilious point? Is it something to do with you living in the colonies?
-
Such a shame I couldn't get there this year!
Marking out in the discovery?
Seriously hope the weather picks up a bit, its raining here in France too.
-
Saw the 11th stage it was brilliant to see the thing live. Although it was only a fraction of one day still a great spectacle.
-
plonker, why take it out of context all that proves is that you have nothing of value to say in this thread so why bother?
For the primary schoolkids "wars are unfortunate (when they obscure who may have ridden well in the years 39 to 45 as at that time France was occupied) when comparing riders. Clear enough.
Actually it was more like 60 million so add imprecise to the list.
-
yes sure all our trials are enter on the day, small additional charge.
-
in what way and would boysens be better or worse?
-
milton buzzard have a trial fairly close to j 15a m1 the blue route is tame enouh for a d1 and there are usually a few pre 65's. Sunday at 10 ish. more details 01908210406

Horse dead and flog re arrange in the right order.
-
I have had Shercos and gassers a 4rt and now an evo. The Evo's brakes are fine and on a par with the others, and if you want to try the bike pop over to MK and give it a go.

7 wins is seven wins ask Eddy which he would prefer and I bet he would swap his record for two more wins, put as simply as i can in seven tours Armstrong won. He was seven times consecutive the best rider on the tour. Detail is not the complete picture and to win the tour winning many stages probably upset a few riders of the time anyway. Armstrong I feel has sometimes won calculated victories by preparing better and doing what has to be done, Mercx was much more an intuative rider, so because of the two extra lance gets the nod by looking behind the 7 wins as much because of what he went through to get there as much as anything. (have you read his books?)
Wars are unfortunate and maybe or maybe not those two would/could have, we cannot compare what didn't happen surely?
Big mig was different he was unemotive with once he had the best and was an excellent tt expert which even caused the organisers to re think the tt stages. Again because he won as he did should not take away the fact?
-
Dougie is the best of course!
-
The comparisons are difficult when they all come from different decades, and just the same as Dougie and Jordi opinions differ as to who is/was the best. Mercx was riding very different tours and in a time when teams didn't have the influence and effect that big m made an art form. The fact that Armstrong has made winning the tdf his only goal in any year detracts from his chance to ever become one of cyclings greats.
Paul Kimmage's Rough rider is the insight which should have changed cycling but never did, put me back on my bike is essetial reading as is Armstrongs best, its not about the bike, gives a great insight into why he has had the success he has.
-
The rider is VERY liable as he has committed fraud by lying on the entry form and if you know of people who don't pay the tenner I say shop 'em.
-
Which is why I said tdf. Mercx is my all time favourite although having seen Jan Jansen as a boy he was my hero, to win a tdf from his country was special.
Notice you didn't mention Induran?
Coppi Bartali and Anquetils records in the tdf are significantly worse than lance so can't see your point at all, explain why they are better?
-
Never met anyone who could tell what way they were put on, xtralite may be different?
-
Armstrong is the best rider the t d f has ever seen.
-
-
of course, had the same number since well the eighties motorola 8000 anyone?
