Michael and James are 23 and 22, wiggy is 19, Jack is 18, Jonathan Richaardson is 17, these are all contenders but I think times have changed. No longer can you jump in at 18 and give the world championship a stab as our top guys are finding, from Dibs down. They need to build up to the severity of the top routes at world level and I think the British lads are as good a crop of youngsters as any country. Dibs then pune and now Gubian of France have all been Junior champions and look at their scores in Ireland, it is tough at the top and getting harder all the time. How far any of them can go is nigh on impossible to tell when the top two (bou raga) are streets ahead of all the WTC????????? The main thing is to get some support and give them all the best chance to do their best.

Our club had to jump through hoops to get a practice area through local planning, and one of the sticking points was the noise of the bikes. Not the amount of noise rather the lack of. In fact the test was so suspiciously low it needed to be repeated as the planning consultant was sceptical we hadn't paid the guy to lower the readings! What the actual Dba was I can't recall exactly but I know it was no more than background noise at 100 metres.

I would argue that riders from different eras cannot be compared. I would say that bou is the best and most skillful from the modern era but on a twinshock its a different thing altogether, and certainly an upbrining on cyclo trails would be little or no help in the past. George best or ronaldo. Bobby moore or John Terry?
