It depends what you are doing on it but for muddy trials 2.5 to 3.5 should be good. 2.5 on a michelin is probably too low if you are hitting sharp rocks hard.

clean the banjo make sure you have 18.5 on float height aswell.

The m90 and so on are really an American thing over here we have it simplified into mainly cc and type, ie 340, 325 blue model and so on.
