  1. Funny how opininons differ but here goes. I have done about 220k in mk 1 vitos 113 and two 112's excellent vans never had a clutch in any of them. Think the t4 I had did 80k and was A1 as well. Vito was like a breath of fresh air much nicer to drive, but guess you could get a late high powered t4 and it could be better. I think the build quality was comparable. 108 vitos may be a different thing again, guess you are talking about those? Vitos mk 2 all have rear wheel drive which put me off at first, along with the foot hand brake. Whether its better than a t5 I can't tell yet but first impressions are good. My T5 has 63k and been 99% reliable and fault free. am I just lucky?
  2. Superchips have done 3 vans now, all improve performance, gain of 15% ish, fuel economy is better if you are steady.
  3. Pretty good advice, don't think an 08 is anything as prblematic as an 05.
  4. Depends how much you want to get better, and how much you want to put in to get summat out?? Try this set up a slippy secvtion doesn't need to be anything big say just a slippy bank maybe with a turn and then a climb up from nearly stationary. WITH YOUR TYRE AT SAY 7 OR 8 PSI TRY THE SECTION THEN DO THE SAME WITH 4. mY GUESS IS THE DIFFERENCE WOULD BE THE SAME (NEARLY) new tyre compared to old. On rocks it makes much less difference, in fact a one edge off tyre works best in these conditoins. Do you get what I mean?
  5. Ditto. I really believe that there is no difference in grip either way possibly a con to make you think its only ok in one direction?
  6. Car dumped at Dublin? E mail me I might be able to help, attending both.
  7. Mine was juicy too but when chipped got a little better. Thnik it was less than 30 mpg always.
  8. In what way? Logistics of travel? vehicle what? Are we talking pat?
  9. Closer than that noel(?) there is a couple of uk based riders and french and italian to add to the mix, no one will do a "gomez" i feel.
  10. A good 112 is a better van than a t4.
  11. Kehin? Get it adjusted checked by someone who knows what they are doing.
  12. I wouldn't read too much into results like that he is only a few off laia and there is always some big stuff which will give the bigger bikes an advantage, couple of 5's here and there soon add up. More important he is over here riding. Still on Sherco for 08 then? See Alfredo is doing the top route on montesa.
  13. Sketchy results from the italian two day, not 100% sure on these but James Dabill wins on 18 Browny 34 Lenzi 37 Bosis 40 odd
  14. Good I'm glad thats cleared up then I wouldn't want any confussion! Actually on a more serious note, as any good c of c will know info like this is imperative for the exact reason silsdenrodeo says.
  15. Good tip. I use the motocross open sponge available at an MX track near you! Got mine from hawkstone.
  16. yeah can't believe peeps do that just look at what this club has done http://www.yeadon-guiseleytrials.co.uk/venues.php

    Tasty!

They are made to order I believe, you want one they make it. Not cheap though, but think they have two WTC youth riders this year.
  19. Take it back to him and make him do it its his job, alternatively phone shirty and take it to factory kev its essential its done a must.
  20. This is surely the reason why there are no Montesas in the states this year? If there was a big demand or any real demand then someone would want to import them. How this applies to the montesa "situation" in the UK I'm not sure. A large semi costs alot af money (bike sales) aren't you into the chicken and egg then?
  21. They are available in Europe, just not in the UK. Although they are coming in, in the way yousuggest.
  22. Not at all from my limited experience, its a case of finding the sweet spot and sticking with that more engine speed than bike speed seems the deciding factor.
  23. This was my biggest worry and despite doing a midland centre event at dovedale (it wasn't that wet!) I am getting to grips with it. There is a point where the grip disapears and it seems to engage reverse, but avoid that and you're there. In fact the opposite seems true find the grip and there is more than enough. Certainly simon Levitt has had alot of success in the Classic series. I am however not anywhere near 100% confident on what it will and will not do and a transition fron sherco to gasser was seemless but thats not the case GG to 4rt. What they seem good at is the rocky streams etc which make up the majority of sections away from our centres so thats not too much of a woorry . The cam and clutch changes seem to have made the bike more rideable from what I can gather but time will tell.
