The more you weigh the more preload you need. Back in the time I had two preload spacers (about 40 mm and could only just get the top nut on, usually had someone hold up the forks if poss. You can change the oil to a lighter heavier grade to get quicker/slower response.

Gaz Is the beta 50 the only choice? What about the Sherco and Gas Gas, are they auto at all?

Appleyards have sold 30 05's sinnce october and apparently have some more so when/if the 07's come it will only be a handful sold if everyone gets the Rev 4t. Come to think of it a handful seems optomistic to say the least. The engines are made in japan and the bikes put together in spain, but that doesn't mean there are no bikes in the UK surely, well it never has before.
