  1. Simple then if you would not want the top riders to miss your event don't make it a novogar. Chris, you can ride in all the national (and win) so to want the novogars set out to a standard that suits you, as does the expert championship is a bit much. I havn't seen you doing the euro rounds either you could do those well, so there is another championship you could do. The novogars (10? rounds) should be set out easier for sure 23 for the winner means what 88 for the tenth man? thats alot (majority?) over a 100, bit like you doing a world round? I am not trying to have apersonal attack on you (Chris pearson) just using you or someone of your youth and ability as an example. As for the classic over 40 that is a joke really, the trials are generally poor and marked out for twinshocks, my guess is the top riders would all switch to novogars if they were eased. OK birkett wouldn't ride many but if they were decent standard I'm sure many more would.
  2. So someone who is over 21 can still ride? (Think about it)
  3. Maybe its me but noticed that the WTC junior championship has had the upper age limit raised to 23, wonder why?
  4. I think that a 4t championship has some merits but to enforce it would require all the manufacturers to sign up, they won't bcause the majority of ordinary riders prefer the 2t, and they are the ones that buy the bikes. The top lads are the shopfront for the manufacturers and they are far removed enough, put them on 4t's and it will be like turkeys voting for christmas. The noise is something that has to be considered, as a prority.
  5. Or how about the acu do a simple questionnaire which is sent out with results, sort of Did you like this trial ? Was the level right for you ? what was your finish position? woeuld you enter next year? etc etc??? Oh yes, please send your comments or attend the trials forum in october..........
  6. Reckon they have sorted that out themselves, secondhsnd 05's 2800 max private sale?
  7. 300pro red wine 300fantic the're all the same tonit deleted
  8. Had a go on a 125 Sherco last week and it surprised me, a lovely little bike and a bit better than the 06 I tried. Think they have made a few improvements which have worked.
  9. contact bill pye he should be able to help. Mike hann is from Dorset? think he was a sponsored fantic rider? Maybe had a dealership?
  10. Do a search for wizard paintwerx, marky boy is an occasional poster on here he has contacts for this work and will be able to help you I'm sure.
  11. The novogars need to be at this level, ie where Dan Thorpe and Sam Haslam etc are losing no marks or 1/2 max. This will then mean that hicken and the like will lose 15/20 and then the over 40 championship will take off and there will be a big tke up in that. I really believe that trials uk is at a turning point where the age of riders is getting older and older and these are the guys with the money which will keep the dealers going and the sport alive. There are some great over 40's (richard Allan hipwell hulme hicken? cowley alderson birkett and loads more) what have they got in terms of a championship? This should be what the novogar is all about imho. What would happen if he was say number 6 and was waiting at the first slippy section the novogars would catch him up and there would be a big holdup and no one would do it. Then this would affect the whole trial, and who would complain when a top rider pushes in, fraught with problems but good idea, just wont work in practice. My answer to sections is to make sure they are set at the level I say above, give it a couple of years and intervention by the ACU to remove too hard events and people will support the series, I would. A standard of the reeth 3 day wouldn't be far off, and look how well that is supported.
  12. Think the sherco website shows the dellorto diagram.
  13. if it was the best thing it would come like that new
  14. Good idea but can you see dan thorpe getting a move on if they are slippy?
  15. there are four main routes so it is possible you could fall between, but its a great trial.
  16. remove all the silicone spotlessly clean up and start from scratch use the RYP websiteas a guide. you will need a beader to get the tyre back on.
  17. some people do it easier with their left hand others like me who take the airbox off a fair bit do it then. My best solution is to carefully remove the wing nut from the thread, cut through weld, and replace with a knob. some people do it easier with their left hand others like me who take the airbox off a fair bit do it then. I Always oil and use the proper stuff it is sticky for a reason.
  18. The wallace last year was spot on, connor lost less than ten It is not a clubmans championship, the name is not right as everyones idea of a clubman event is different. The Novogars are easier nationals, Timp you have the experts championship and every other national the novogars are for the others. If yeardons round is too hard it won't be part of the novogars the following year, is what JC is saying?
  19. I really am too old and have decided that I have not got the balls or ability to get through the week, but in 2008 I will be there in some shape, thanks for the kind thoughts and words though.
  20. Absolutely not. it was originally the Clubmans series. The ACU forum in 2005 clearly defined the novogars as suitable for centre experts, in the last few years they have been harder than they should have been. If they need a b route the a route is too hard, basically the likes of Dan Thorpe should be losing next to no marks at all which hasn't been the case. There is an over 40 class in this series and it would be better supported and could be very prestigious if the standard of this championship were set as it shou;d be. I rode the wallace last year and asked for one or two fives so that would be a good benchmark, ie something that is rideable for the majority, think neonsuge did a few of them too he may be able to comment better.
