Brian don't get me wrong i am not saying you shouldn't get a 4t just that there is a limit to people who want these things and unless there is a real advantage, ie reliability as you say I just can't see where the market for them will be. beta or not.

As one of the (apparent) silent majority Beta, Sherco Honda or Scorpa 4t hold little or no appeal and will not why the 2t is a bike they feel they can ride and look after easily. EFI or carb makes no difference, 19 pages and how many are rushing to place orders? Kinell and maybe one other? A trials rider that wants any 4t will have bought one by now surely? There is no massive demand for the beta despite all the chat. The 4rt has taken off a bit this year for clubman but whether it is because Sandifords lack of a real high profile team the winning of nationals has escaped them. It is not a case a slagging off 4t's just that they don't suit most, and it is not a completly better bike than anything else, historically the tywas a big leap forward and in its 3rd year everyone had one. Not so the 4rt. It is not a revolution and untill any 4t is lighter more powerful/ easier to ride they will never have a majority in trials. My nagging doubts are that a 4 year old 4rt is not desireable at all, and when they start to go wrong/wear out who will want the expensive repair bills. This I feel compouded by the repetitive dumping of old stock by appleyards will actually seep through to new sales and loosing

Pretty good mixture around here, including plenty of 4rt's. In fact Mark Hicken has swapped his '06 Raga replica for a standard 4rt! And he's no slouch. A couple of years back you hardly ever saw a Scorpa but now there are quite a few of them. Perhaps it's beacuse the Scorpas were always more expensive in the past. Note, we never see a rock so it's always muddy streams and tree roots which seem to suit the Yamaha engine. 07 Scorpas?

Well there is only about two new 07's in our centre and I have heard that the montesas and betas are impossible to get at the moment is that true?

I have in the past sent an article and photos but have not done so as I have been busy with other things, catching up on work mainly. However I have not had a request for anything and the editor knows my numbers/addresses etc. Blameless no but as john said a mention might have been good.

Muppet of course it makes a difference. Above all if you get a small puncture you can put a few turds in it and get going again a tube well best of luck. Grips not as good either so avoid tubes if you can.

Ok so Alexz "only " won the Youth world title, but he won the spea title the european junior A class ymsa and he would have won the Expert class at the brotish championships had he entered as an adult not youth, so surely that is worth a mention? How many other riders have won every championship they have ridden in, let alone over paid over hyped mx riders. We haven't had a decent world class rider since dave thorpe. Well I was thinking that at first, my mistake, as she as a lady can stay over 21 in junior. (she is 21 this year) apologies. However the only reason I can see now is to try and get other riders to increase the entrants to the wtc.
