Dont try to get the threads the same length that should be a guide, try the visual method backing off and then winding in to get the release as flat as poss. Have you shortened the cable?
-
Good luck, sounds like someone forgot about the grubscrew.
-
Wondering about primary chain and tensioner now, is that good?
-
TQF ATQF is the same thing.
Theadvantage of frontera plates is simple mechanics, more friction area less spring force required equals easier clutch lever movement.
-
As the carbs are identical they may well be the same set up from the factory, who would think that a 125 is the same as a 290, not ness the same comparison but they are. Only trying to help the bloke not prescribe carb settings based on a 2 stroke, in case you were not clear.

My 05 290

126 main
Slide standard mixture screw near yours, optimax fuel so looks similar, so why no need for choke? Why would it flood?
Up or down on the needle?

Didn't this months Trialsworld say the electrics were suspect?
-
Bit too far you want to try living down south then you would know how far good trials areas are.

Although there is no perfect answer there is alot to help that you can do. New or very well oiled cable, shorten the cable so that it works over tangent of the pull rather than before, I have used the longer brake arm which givesa little more leverage. Good tqf, greased rod ball and even drill and fit grease nipple to the casing were the rod is pushed all help. Biggest benefit I found though was fitting frontera plates and then back off the springs till the clutch slips then tighten back down a little from there. Never used a dial gauge found it better to spin the clutch round and then using the lever see if the clutch expands straight then adjust to suit.
Hope this helps, a while since I did mine but the hours are etched in the memory.

Is there a float level height, there is on the 2 stroke, 18.5.
-
Is cody to old for the youth 125 this year? Could he not compete in the Junior class?
-
For an awful moment there I thought you meant the williams sisters of Derby, 12, 14 and 16.
-
IF I have to make it clear to anyone I would just love it if Doug were to win the WTC one more time, that would be just soooooooo good.
However if he can't for whatever reason, then Caby would be good for Sherco but even better for the Trials at WTC level.
-
Seal skinz are better than the Army goretex socks they fit much better. If you find they make you sweat then wear a pair of very thin cotton socks first, it works well. I have tried four differing makes of boots and they all leak eventually.

Sadly AS under any scrutiny it doesn't seem to work. Your son would have qualified for the inter class by riding novice so he would sit out the rest of the year and then ride sections similar to B class? Also what would the cc restriction be? Also if 3 novices at each trial qualify doesn't that equal 30? etc etc. Cannot see the benefit plus there are always the odd rider who seems to appear from Yorkshire aged 15/16 who is really good would they have to wait a year before they could compete in the expert grade?
The beaty of the A and B system is that it is clear to all that the best rise to the top and they are of a similar age, and if they are good enough (like Alexz) the ACU can always upgrade a year earlier.
-
How would you grade ability then?
-
Perhaps you can get some one to explain how to do a hill start for example? Guy I know has a 115 and has had 2 new struts on the front, and after buying a vw 174 says it is much much better.
-
Well done to Cabestany, top of the world four points clear VIVA SHERCO!

What is the current championship positions?
Think this year is going to be the closest for a while, Caby's going well and the Honda/mont looks capable of winning out doors, great stuff, lets hope Doug can make it 8.
