you johnny b talk alot of sense.
-
Try a 250 first. A 300 with flywheel weight runs on alot more.
280s are definately snappy, more difficult to sell on.
Where are you Toshy?
-
Where and when did any of Vertigo's aims say "volume sales"?
-
Regardless of your semantics, most trials bikes are not near the limit of lightness, or as pretty well as light as can get, so you're wrong twice over both ways.
-
bullshiit whats the difference?
most =most
limits of lightness = as light as can get
pretty well = as can get
Please apologise now its been explained?
-
Are you sure james? Thats not what we heard, 40million in debt?
We heard its finished please confirm?
-
When have you ever answered a question of mine so to say "put right" misses the mark.
no one cares what "you favour" and in case you are deliberately ignoring other threads answer the questions about regulations?????
Limits on this, restrict that, more weight, CHANGE THE RECORD!
-
-
This is where its a shame because noise is not an issue.
We got planning permission granted for a local practice ground in a highly populated area, because the bikes were NOT a nuscience.
-
POST 377 above twatty features
"Most trials engines are already pretty well near the limits of lightness"
there, now apologise
-
Where could you ride them properly, rather than a petrol one?
-
great post not so sure the tl125 was ever that popular here though. In fact i cant remember the last time i saw one ridden even in the last couple of twinshock trials.
-
so which of the top 10 in the world were in scotland (dibs excepted)?
-
Try a 250 first a 280 may be too big a step up from a scorpa.
-
Another pile of crAAp.
May have been reliable? THEY WERE in the SSDT, proof that your suggestions that they arent is totally false.
Lost sales in your book most popular bike in reality.
So the vertigo finishing the ssdt isnt of relevence? Its specialised its a trials bike a light one at that!
No you couldnt add mini as they never made any money for BMC.
Ossa's arent for sale so irrelevent how well Billy B did. Well done BB.
A monty would have done as well ? really?
-
thought it was only 200 for homologation.
Lancia not a sales success, they never rusted did they?
-
Really are they currently in Birketts shop?
If the above is true you cant buy any of the bikes in the top 6 no wonder they're in trouble.
-
Me told what? Brown cant walk so im sure he'd drop a few.
-
If you disagree then be more specific with what and why, it would be nice to debate points rather than say I disagree?
I can assure you that fettling a bultaco well was never a guarantee the points would always be 100% reliable, unless you know different?
Yes i stand corrected that he was suggesting a return to this level of trials but would many superstars turn up to lose 1 or 2?
I dont struggle to see that difficulty drops scores will be closer together who said otherwise?
-
Clean. I was there at the superstars in Pately bridge was it 77? Not saying that was the video but a few of the sections were very similar to the Yorkshire centre trial i rode yesterday, things really have moved on that much.
there was an SWM there though, just the one.
-
Turkeys voting for christmas.......
-
wtf! That fracture and possible eye damage shouldve made him say no more but respect.
-
-
Im sure the Vertigo team will take note of your ideas.
..and ignore them.
-
Unless you have a time warp machine your idea will never happen.
Having turned up at a trial with a well fettled bultaco only to find that the points didnt fancy a day out Im guessing you are in a minority of wanting twinshocks drum brakes and points.
Let me explain in case you're blinkers are still on, lads starting out now can do no more (other than the bikes are sooo much better) than they could in the 70's.
The standard of Bou raga et al is significantly better than the also rans at wtc. Our best in the uk is 5/6th in the world and hes head and shoulders above others in BTC. The best half dozen in this country probably could get round a wtc but would likely be very near maximum, look at jack shepards scores (at least hes trying) in recent wtc's. You question should be why are our countrys top ten not competing, not suggesting a twinshock solution.
You cant turn the clock back
