t-shock 250

Knowing how marginal the Beta clutch is, removing 2 springs would render it completely useless!

I have a 2013 250 and the clutch drags all the time and slips occasionally. I think its time Beta put this to bed & designed a new clutch for their 20 year old engine, or better still, a new motor!

what year evo & engine?

Did you back off the adjuster & try it?

Bernard Cordonnier? He seemed to manage ok if I remember!

What about the boots though?

Set it to whatever you prefer.

I've tried v-power, shell standard fuel & morrisons in my 250 evo. There was no difference as far as I could tell.

Unless you borrow fuel from someone with a four stroke.

Agree with what smarty said above, a 1 for a stop would certainly help in my opinion.

Stator. Get it tested, common fault on these bikes.

Not sure if it's the same as my '13 evo, but water goes into the airbox through the vents in the seat directly above it, particularly when your washing it.

Can't beat a few cleans, get in!!

That rear brake arm isn't going to last long down there.

Having ridden a TLR250 for many years (& modern 2 strokes), I can say that in my opinion a four stroke does seem to offer more grip, but it needs to be ridden in the 4 stroke style as said above, revving & clutching all the time is not the way.

Failing stator, common fault on these engines, one of the symptoms is it will run until slightly warm, then quit.

There's your problem, can't beat a phone call.

I would have it fitted by someone who knows what they're doing, or just about anyone with a compressor.

*bought* Al is correct, as I had the same issue back in'95 which Al sorted for me.
