  1. Thanks guys. i will give them a go. the latest version of power director is not out here until the new year anyway, so a bit of time to practice.
  2. They did a test on the gadget show using the gopro and the contour, gopro got the best review mostly because of the wider angle and being better at dealing with changes in light.gadget show review. the gopro fastens to the top of the helmet and i can imagine a low branch could wipe it out. bigfoot what editing software do you use? i have been looking into getting this onepower director reviews say it is very easy to use and reasonable price.
  3. maybe a bit of both. its a tough place to find grip more of a old style riders course with loose rocks, tree routes, snotty climbs, cambers and lot of mud rather than enormous rock steps. so the place tends to catch people out for lots of dabs rather than lots of 5s. saying that most sections are easy to 5 if your not carefully with the throttle. its a fantastic place to ride a bike around with a big lap, everyone i spoke to enjoyed it yesterday even if we were soaked to the bone. we had a graded hill climb that caught a few people out and led to a fair bit of **** taking (all good fun). if you haven't rode it taff give it a go.
  4. All set out 10 sections (a few new ones), 3 big laps. sorry i forgot to mention this is a adult only trial, and part of the northern area (EYC) championship.
  5. middlesbrough motor club will be running the Vic boys trial at lazenby bank this coming Sunday. adult only 3 route trial for clubman a/b inters and experts. 10:30 start 3 laps 12 sections. hope to see you there. Paul.

    TY80 PROJECT

thats really tidy, cracking job. hope the young un likes it.
  7. Taff your just talking about the east Yorks center where we are all round about the same ( just trying different things ). once you move outside of it and ride at another centre everything is different picking your class and riding it is not as easy as you would think. standardization across the whole country makes total sense. I feel that the dual route trial at centre level is coming too the end of its life span in the way single route did many years ago. nationals are fine on dual route in the same way as the ssdt and scott are fine on single route, everyone expects a harder days sport at these events so you make the choice too ride. At normal club trials a route for everyone is not much too ask. our 2 day turned out a great weekend and for me thats because we are using multi route. the argument on this will run for a while in this centre thats why a bit of feedback good or bad from local riders would be appreciated.
  8. I think something has been slightly missed of Steve's initial post we are running 4 groups on 3 routes by having a 50/50 course for intermediates. experts red/blue inters 50/50 clubman a green deviation clubman b yellow deviation inters ride expert course unless stated different on the start cards, so where we go big for the experts they drop down onto the clubman a ( green route ). previously the inters did the exact same sections as the experts and clubman A did a 50/50 route swapping between expert sections and clubman b sections ( 2 route trial ). this for me was making some section too hard or too easy for some riders, and any expert finding trials getting a bit hard couldn't drop down into inters, they are still doing the same section so whats the point, they would go down into clubman A win every trial and then get moaned at as being a pot hunter ( no win situation ). From what i can see from this post is most of us use the same colored flags near enough RED, BLUE, YELLOW, & GREEN or WHITE. we are not far off. The other point is none of us seem too have the same classes expert, inter, clubman, novice, beginner, a route, b route, c route, and so on. its a bit of a muddle really. How nice would it be too go anywhere in the country and be faced with the same classes, route marking, entry form. so all you have too ask is how sadistic the Clark of the course is. I don't expect the ACU to make these rules up as they would be in for a kicking from some quarters. maybe if some brave sole on here came up with a basic principle and the rest of us try agree too it, bring it up at centre meetings and see what happens. if 50% of clubs or centres went down the same road it cant be all bad. I'm not brave enough ( i bruise easily ). many other users of the site have gained a lot of respect from the trials community, people may listen too them. BIG JOHN do you fancy eating your spinach and sorting us English out. PS I'm just asking if this can be done fellas don't shout at me.
  9. Ever wondered where the term "D**KHEAD" came from? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Finally too all the riders who turned out for what was a cracking weekend, great weather, fantastic venue & loads of friendly banter. enjoyed it immensely. Great weekend and i hope too see you all again next year. for what will be a bigger and better 2 day ( we ain't scratched the surface of that place yet ) Thanks everyone. 14. No hoping about it anymore mate. 12 totally different sections from last year found, the rest are just in the same area as last year but a lot different. we have also avoided the parts that cut up last year proving difficult too ride. ( those that rode will know where i mean ) I rode the Sunday route yesterday ( with a big smile on my face ) its a good trek round.

  17. Right ham if we are going for opening lines what about this one, not the best of songs mind.
  18. what do you think the price will be?
  19. piers morgan is a talentless p****, so sod what he says. good on the lad hope he wins.
  20. maybe thats the answer instead of the crowd barracking the observers they should send a bit of grief the way of the gardeners? last year at nord view, a friend of mine ( bit of a gob on him ). took great pleasure in shouting "LEAVE IT" "GET OFF THAT ROCK" "OY PACK IN". it did work with some of the gardeners without actually putting the rider in the section off. at worst you get a laugh at the section fiddler spinning round like a meerakat in a panic. If we want too see the best riders in the world riding the section as its intended maybe we ( the public ) should shame them ( the minders/riders ) into leaving the section well alone. or is this wrong. I witnessed a beta mounted spanish rider, on section 6 lap 1 sunday try too argue why he should not of had a five. the lad should be a politician, only other people i have heard talk so much s***e. well done too all observers everywhere you do a cracking job. thank you for your time and effort.
  21. Really looking forward too it, section look like proper good old fashioned sections, nice and long nothing stupid and with the tight time limit should make for interesting viewing. What is the rules on videoing the event. are you allowed to do so as long as for private viewing and not posted on the internet.
