  1. Jonny some trials have time limits on them now and it wont rush you through a section, you take less time looking at the section or get more of a wiggle on inbetween section. the better the rider the faster they go on the course. It's not possible to set time limits on sections at club level, as you struggle to get enough people to observe sometimes let alone get a timekeeper for each section aswell. if its a punch card trial thats worse still 1 observer + 1 puncher + 1 timekeeper on every section, you just wont get them.
  2. Have a quick chat with beanie, he's had both mate.

    R.I.P. Marco

R.I.P Marco. and well done Andy.
  4. no, but for the clubman you dont need to hop and skip all sections can be rode in a no stop fashion. although lots just do it because they can, which i find amusing when they hop themselves into trouble.
  5. Only for trials. We need permission from national parks and the estate to run there. We run a 2 day trial in September on it, come and give it a go next year, its a quality event.
  6. At club trials you could enter him on the D class route, on a out of class no award basis. It would be the easiest route for him to learn the basics on and build his confidence. A lot of the time these are conducted courses, where you walk round with them doing 1 section 3 or 4 times then move on to the next. Hope he enjoys it. Its great when you see parents and kids riding round together enjoying themselves.
  7. I thought they had TDN for 2012 ?
  8. It's a superb bit of land ham. the cleveland national used to pass through it, and a british championship was held on there in the 90s. you should get yourself down with a few mates next year and give it a go.
  9. This is a selection of videos from the resent middlesbrough 2 day trial at woodhead farm fryup. videos The link is to my youtube channel where i hope to post more videos in the future.
  10. I agree with dg the machanix gloves are spot on.

  15. tonyp. Baldilocks is right its next weekend 10th/11th September. really good day out for clubmen. a challenge but we don't put anything stupid in. we also like to give the clubman b wide open sections with plenty of lines wherever possible. yes it will be on the calender next year. hutchy and nipper(john pattison) will be riding, and gunning for the clubman b win. both still very good riders.
  16. Looks and sounds like a fantastic trial. unfortunately can not ride it this year, hope to get there next year. looking forward to reading some of the feed back from it and see a few pictures. hope it all goes well, you cant beat a good multi day trial, the more the merrier.
  17. A few pics will add more after the weekend.
  18. I have recently moved from a 300 gas gas on to a 250 gas gas and find it a lot easier to live with. a mate has gone from a 290 sherco onto a 250 sherco and improved instantly. whichever make you choose one of the big boys might not be the best way to go.
  19. world round or club trial They are still all volunteers lads. cut them a bit of slack we are buggered without them.
  20. Best section of the trial that. proper laugh
  21. So what your saying is there will be a few disappointed faces when they realize what JAP SPLAT means.
