Observer's view of a section is always going to be a problem in trials. The longer the sections or more riders/spectator's the worse it will be. You have to give benefit of the doubt to the riders. Which leads neatly on to your second point swearing and shouting whilst dropping marks is just plain daft, 1st kids are at most trials they shouldn't be hearing some of the stuff that gets said. 2nd the observer may be unsure if it was a dab or not when you let your gob go you just grass yourself up. That has happened to me loads of times while observing.

If you can post a pic it may help also.
-
Yes b40rt I have read that wrong. Ian stick a post in the sherco forum also.
-
Hi Ian. Place a post in the bultaco forum on here. Plenty of lads know their stuff, in particular I believe big john is a big bultaco fan. Someone will soon help.
-
I made a right a*** of that section on lap 1. Nailed it second lap. Great pics as usual.

They are not dents and scratches, they are battle scars. Show them with pride.

I think wulf are the only boots for under

Graham Charltons. Portrack lane, stockton on tees. Not sure if he has boots for under a
-
East yorks centre lad. Think he is from Middlesbrough. Nice lad, cracking rider.
-
Kill switch is a good idea taff, should be made compulsory. I need one of them myself. Need 2 for the kids bikes also, going to be a expensive do.
-
Dont think it makes much difference to lads like us anyway taff.

Really glad you posted again pete. I have not received a refund from the cancelled Cleveland trial yet. Sent everything back they required over easter so should have heard something by now. More emailing ahead I think.
-
I think Honda might take their stumps home if you did that, or certainly have a big hissy fit.

Richmond run the blue bar trial 2 days in may, not sure if you are eligible. Check their website.
Bedlington motor club have the Alwinton 2 day in june. They have a facebook page with pics of the terrain. You could also ask baldilocks on here about it.
Middlesbrough motor club have a 2 day in September, covers just about every terrain.
All three should be good for you and your mate's.

125s are capable of a lot more than what most of us can do on them. I borrowed my daughter's 2005 125 gasgas to try a gully section. It managed it ok. My 250 rode it easier mostly down to me not wringing the 125s neck up the waterfalls. It will be fine to learn on. Might run out of puff on the bigger hill climbs. Im 38 & at least 11 stone now (not weighed myself in a while, but getting a pot belly and small moobs.)

Unfortunately the Cleveland National Trial has had to be canceled due to poor weather conditions. The course is in a poor state and with more snow forecast for tonight and early hours of tomorrow we have been left no other option but cancellation.
All cheques will be destroyed Sunday night..., if you would like them returning please contact the secretary of the meeting. all riders who payed by cash will receive a phone call from the secretary over the next couple of days.
sorry, and i hope to see you next year
Paul Wright.
Please inform any friends who were riding.
Thanks Nigel i appreciate it. hopefully see you next year or at our 2 day in September.

You pay the MSA before, but get a refund if cancelled due to bad weather or such. I will most likely find out how it works in the not too distant future. :'(

RIGHT PLAN B i have contacted the local MSA liaison officer to use the road after the petrol stop right round to stormy hall, like the man from delmonty he said YES. i have emailed the parks also to check they are ok with this as it bypasses the worst part of the moor DALE HEAD it wont dry out for a loooong time, and this reroute wont need natural england permission i believe as it is not off road. so IF crossley side and stormy hall/ Blackmiars clear up and dry out we have a very slim chance. BUT if the weather forecast for the weekend is right we are buggered anyway. i have tried my best ladies and gents but i think we are fighting a losing battle.
Nigel we will advertise the 2 day on here nearer the time, September 7th/8th is the date. 3 laps of 12 on Saturday 3 laps of 15 Sunday. gullies, woods, huge rocks, hill climb it has the lot. its a good sized course too with a few open bits where you can open it up a bit for a bit of fun. plenty of b&bs about or you can bring a tent and drunk with us in the start field.
-
More CLEVELAND NATIONAL TRIAL info. I have received the MSA permission letter today. After the event I must send them NAME, ADDRESS, MACHINE ridden and REGISTRATION number of machine of all riders who participated in the event. So you WILL be required to declare your registration number at signing on. Thats if mother nature cuts us some slack.

We had a 2 month spell where nothing ran in the east yorks centre. we (m/bro) do a good 2 day in September If your interested.
-
Conditions are not great at present (if it’s not under snow, it’s under water). With the weather forecasts predicting snow every day bar one for the remainder of the week, it’s looking grim. A final inspection of the course will be made on Friday, and a decision made on whether to run or not after this.
The parking field is a swamp and completely unusable, arrangements have been made to use other parking areas but space is limited. IF the trial goes ahead the club would be grateful if competitors could try travel together in one vehicle where possible and park sensibly.
Please check the club website, Trials central and Facebook before you travel. or contact Paul Wright on 07890669950.

i have been to JUST a good few times. my kids picked it up really quick, its good exercise too. didn't end too well for me, fractured wrist and my arm in a cast for 5 weeks, got back to fitness just in time for reeth 3 day 2011.
They have a warehouse in billingham where the store/sell unicycles from. last time i was in there they had a couple of new penny farthings got offered a go on one and declined as reeth 2012 was a couple of weeks away regret that decision now.
-
Check out Scarborough & district motor clubs web site. They have a practice area, its a bit further to go but has everything you would want there.
-
You can stick a tube in. I have run tubes in tubeless tyres a lot. Worth the extra cash for a heavy duty tube.
