  1. Nope sorry, i refuse to belive Dibs would Leave Shirty!!! As a team Shirty, Dibs and Jack were superb. Hopefully Dibs has persuaded Jack to come back and mind for him in 2011. Nothing against Beta or John, but Dibs would be silly to leave GG.
  2. My baby that is about to be born!! Hmmmm, Beta 50 or GasGas 50?

    Sticking pots

I have found this which is pretty intresting. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=345397 WD 40 had very little effect. But yes Brake Fluid etc had less effect. you could argue that 1% swell on the pots is enough to restrict them. Depends on the age of the caliper and how worn the service of the o-ring is to allow WD to soak in. Personally i have never had a problem and it's always lubed my pots perfectly.

    Sticking pots

Give us a bit more info. Front Caliper = 4 pot? All pots stuck or just 1? What have you done to get them stuck? I.E been pushing them back in? If only 1 pot is cocked and the other 3 loose, when you pull the lever, all effort will go to the 3 loose pots? Get some wd40 sprayed on the pots so the WD40 goes down between the pots and caliper.
  5. Come on then, what do people think of these bands. Personally i think they are fantastic, I first thought they were a load of rubbish. But whilst i was in Trials Uk's shop, i saw the lads do some tests on another customer. Absolutly fantastic. So i got one too. I wore it that night for thai boxing and i was like a machine. I had the besgt session in a long time. Is it true or is it mind over matter??? Whats your thoughts?
  6. I belive from Nige that the new 2011 Sherco Submarine was up there. Everyone should have packed bikes away, and finshed of by Yorkshire Centre Team Bog snorkling!!!!!
  7. Some posts questions have aleardy been covered several times over. You find some people just post before searching for previous answers. Also some posts just don't warrant a reply. But yes your being annoying,
  8. Do not touch the plug cap at any point, never mind full revs. You'll get a massive shock. And do not pull the Fuel line off, you'll probably be ingulfed by a nice big Ball of flames. Kill switches don't really work at full revs, because the bike creates it's own spark to run off, and the switch dosen't cancel it out. ( Thats a basic description ) Best way is stick your hand over the exhaust and choke the engine. Or if it's in gear and revving, tap the back brake to stall it. but choking is favoured method!.
  9. Heres my reply. I was born into Trials, and also rode a road bike so i was blessed to be able to cope with the differance. Having said that i can't get on with anything less than a 300. Anyway to the point, My bezzie mate rides a gixxer, and when i took him down the woods ( for a go on the bike!!!!! Nowt else!!!!) He couldn't ride a trials bike to save his life. Am i babbling on. Ok, so this lass rides a 1000 gixxer, Trials is a totally differant dicipline and a 250 over rocks may feel more unstable than a 1000 gixer in a nasty tank slapper. So the morale of my long winded babble, had strong ale story is........ I've forgoten the question hahahaha whoops. Oh yeah bird on a bike!!!! Yeah it dosen't matter, there totally differant. Fact his she can ride a bike so has a head start. Get a 250!!!
  10. We know were only having a laugh. All seriousness, i put bets on the Mont being the heaviest!
  11. Hi Guys I changed the oil in my 300 Raga the other day. 450mls came out and it weighed 469.223 Grams. I measured 450mls of the same oil to put back in and this weighed 469.445 Grams. Has enybody else weighed other oils. I'm thinking if there are lighter oils out there i can use, it will help me in my weight reduction.

    New Ossa

But what about the fact that area is where most people, correct me if i'm wrong. Grab that area with there hands to help somebody, or get the bike yourself out of trouble. I'm liking the bike, im not liking where that exhast is though. Is it something the factory have looked into. Fair doooooooos, it may ride nice. But have they done any thoughts about how people physically handle the bikes? Having said this, Gassers front pipe is in perfect place for nice burns when the bike falls on you. !

    New Ossa

Is it just me, or have Ossa seriously put the exhaust pipe, Perfectly where your left leg is?
  15. Moving the bars forward of the clamps, makes for better trick riding and also makes the bike more 'Twitchy' but more useable. It moves your bodies weight further forward from centre. It's a difficult one to explain in writing. Easy thing is try it in different positions. You will see what i mean. Go extreme, start with them really far back, then move them forward a few cm's at a time. This will give you a good idea of how it effects the bike. Set a pretty easy section up, with tight turns and a semi decent sized rock to try get up and over. Make sure you ride the same route with each alteration. I hope someone else can explain better.
  16. My brother in law is a car valeter, so i have Tar and Glue remover. Best thing. be carefull with petrol and Brake cleaner. I forst tried that on my Raga, and the paint came off the swing arm. but yeah i agree, hot air gun and use your thumb to roll of the Glue. Safest and 2nd best way.
  17. Trials Uk in Horsforth, Leeds have again been subject to low life, helping themselves to the stock. 2 bikes were Stolen, 2009 Sherco 250 frame No. VNBS125TR8A020455. The other is a 2010 Beta 250 frame No. ZD3T60100A0200872. Please keep any eye out for these. It's not uncommon for Thieves to plan robberies from as far away as Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle etc. So please be vigilant Nationwide for these bikes. Nige has got a

  20. Hmmmmm, Well assuming these guys are affiliated to either a club or atleast still go to a club to watch, How about contacting clubs. Fair few isn't there though. Tricky one, how would we do without computers!!!! What about asking local papers? that costs though!!! Well i'm bringing my old man down. well not that old. Sure he will know a fair few people and vice versa.
  21. I am loving the new engine. How tidy does that look. Really glad Sherco have fixed all the little problems from the 2010. I'd like to see pics of where the fuel filler is now located!
  22. Hmmmmmm, i like the white frame. Looks cock on that.
  23. I've got one, There truely fantastic, My balance has always been pretty naff, But now with my Balance Band i can now stand at the top of blackpool tower, on my left foots little toe, whilst spinning a basketball on my left hands little finger. There fantastic, honestly the world is my oyster!!!!
  24. We get a fantastic turn out at the Horsforth trials, and it's really good to see them younguns shinning through. It's a no brainer that making an effort for them is the future of the sport. Personally i'd like to thank all thats involved with the conducted trials, with the extra 8 sections to mark out and extra observer(s). Looking at the riding skills coming out of some of these youngsters, that effort really needs to be kept upto. It's also good to see some of the clubs expert riders helping out on techniques too. Inless they already do, maybe some organised training sessions could be organised for the juniors.
