  1. Roll them off, then you can keep them in your tool box as a pair of emergency ones. Unless they are totally knackered, then yeah cut them off. When your putting the new ones back on, make sure you have the grip with the bigger diameter on the throttle side. Spray a load of Brake cleaner down them, quickly shake out the excess, and whack them on nice and quick. They will just slide on. Once brake cleaners evaporated in about 10 seconds, they'll be nice and tight.
  2. I agree john, Even observing Centre Trials is nerve racking, as so much relies on your vision and decision. Aslong as the observer marks all riders with the same attitude, then fine. CHR155_D did your little story actually happen, where an Observer put a rider off, by shouting out to his minder? If so then yeah thats bad form dude, to then mark him for footing!!!!! Personally you let the rider finish the section, especially at that level, as you say the stuff their doing you don't want to be throwing them off. But he should have let them finish section then have a word with the minder and manger, or/and the Clerk of the course.

    Novel Solution

Thats daft!!!, You might as well cut have the tank off while your at it. Has that now got the same tank capacity as an evo? haha
  6. Heli coil it. If you have the ability and gear to do it, then do that. Or if you have a tap and Die set, just run the correct size Tap down it and try save some of it.

    2 Stroke Mix

500 Ml!!!!!! Start at 80:1, so 63ml ish. If you want to play with other ratios, just dived 5000ml (5 litres of petrol) by your ratio. So 70:1 = 5000 divded by 70 = 71 mls 80:1 = 5000 divded by 80 = 62.5 (63mls) and so on. Don't think you'll go wromg running 80:1 though, and it's worth running higher octane fuel. Shell optimax is higher than BP Ultimate.
  8. Simple, For any Internal combustion engine, whether it be Cetaine for diesel or octane for petrol. The higher the Octane number the better. In basic terms, you get much better throttle response as the flash point is higher. Burns a lot cleaner so no big carbon build up. And it does give a slight BHP increase. i would suggest any one using either BP Ultimate or Shell optimax which i think is a couple of octane higher than BP. Simply try it, you will notice a difference. And if you want a bit more, you can get some Putoline Octance booster, which will make your octane figure around 102ish. Honestly Try it. Here is a good explanation to understand Engine Knock. http://www.torquecars.com/articles/fuel-octane-ratings.php
  9. Found this little web site. Search Trial Bikes and it gives you all the listings for when trials is on Eurosport and what time. Pretty usefull i thought! http://www.mindthezap.tv/tv/s?d=A&s=Trial+Bikes&st=T
  10. Does anyone know if the rest of the rounds are going to shown? Or are Eurosport just randomly picking a round, here and there!
  11. No more info on it? Whats with the new frame design? Come on need more info!
  12. OMG look at the rear master cylinder!!!! Thats Wicked.
  13. I've always run my bike on 80 to 1, 5000ml of petrol divded by 80 = 62.5ml so 63ml for arguments sake. Some people run 100 to 1 or 70 to 1, 5000/100 = 50ml 5000/70 = 71ml I've run 80 to 1 with BP Ultimate 96 Ron or Shell Optimax 98 Ron.
  14. I Belive it hasn't been announced yet, but will be shortly. Fingers Crossed.
  15. Yeah i agree, sounds like you had a good time. get some wqatching material, Ryan youngs DVD, or watch Trials Training Centre on you tube. But don't let it put you off. It happens to us all. welcome
  16. Does anybody know if and when this weekends, world round will be televised. Is there nobody out there that works for eurosport, who can get the full seasons tv listings?
  17. Back in the Day my old man used to carry 2 or 3 twinshocks, on the back of a mini pick-up. I carry mine on a rack, and i've got a golf. You won't even know it's there. We'll you will cause your forever looking to see if it's fallen off. I personally would like a trailer better. much easier, and gives you somewhere to stand on to get changed.
  18. Is your Master cylinder cap Green? And has written on it Mineral. If so you can ONLY use Mineral oil. If not Dot 4. Undo your Adujster right out, This will allow the plunger to let Fluid into the Master cylinder. Take cap off master, suck out all the fluid. Get a syringe of appropiate fluid, attach a tube to the syringe that will also fit snuggly onto the Clutch bleed nipple. Once the syringe is snuggly fitted to bleed nipple, undo nipple. SLOWLY push fluid through. Fluid should fill the master cylinder. Keep checking it. If its full or filling. Lock off bleed nipple. When it's full or nearly full empty the master cylinder again. and repeat steps. Do it a couple of times to really get new fluid through. you have now just back bled your clutch system .
  19. COME ON DIBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Site Sponsor, Trials uk will send you what you need.
  21. Im in leeds, i'll garage it, look after it, maintain it, ride it. I just can't bring it to trials sorry. But because i can't fulfill your requirements, i will wash your gear for you! Hope this is ok.
  22. Oh dear. Not best to put fingers in moving parts. Like i said though take the wheel off, and just spin the wheel on your fingers.
  23. no it's normal for there to be the spacer within the hub. Try taking the wheel back off again. and sticking your fingers where the axle goes and rotate the wheel. you need to ascertain if the knock is from the wheel or not. Is it not obvious from listening where the knock is comming from. try this. With the wheel in place and tightened up on the bike. Place a screw driver just on the axle opposite side to the brake as near to the wheel as you can. Spin the wheel and stick your ear to the screw driver. see if the knock is coming from inside the hub!
  24. Im confussed, Assuming your on about a 2000 Sherco. The schematic Diagram i'm looking at shows, From looking at the bike from the front. Left hand side, your axle goes thorugh the bearing out the other sides bearing into a bush, then bolts into the fork leg. There is no spacer or rubber 'o' ring? If you have your spacer on the right hand side (Disc side) you shouldn't have the speedo drive aswell. http://www.sherco.com/spare_parts/2000_200...ebook_trial.pdf
  25. Hmmmm, Did you say you still have your speedo drive in as a spacer. Have you checked to make sure this is fitted correctly. i think the drive has locating grooves, if these arn't sat right you may have it crushed. I suggest buying a spacer for here if your not going to use your speedo. Does it 'knock' whilst the wheel is lifted in the air, or just when there is weight on the wheel???? If you take the wheel out, stick your fingers into the holes where the axle goes. Spin the wheel. Does it knock then? If so something is a miss with the bearings. If not and the speedo drive is fitted correctly, It's something that your doing when putting the wheel on. It's hard to tell with out seeing the wheel etc. but try those comments first.
