  2. Don't go upsetting the lads now Stu, you know you can't compete now without having someone there to wipe thi bum
  3. I would think the forks and any other special part they can bolt on off the works 315's could be used. Might see the return of the 1,000 drill holes.
  4. Wot's he like eh Stu, soft bugger can't get to Lady lane and expects to finish ssdt Tell truth Kinell, wer it hangower or did it just look too cold out.
  5. Or maybe James just wants to look after the new home, wife, mates, Glamorous touring the world with a champion like Doug, but after a while that gets old and less appealing.
  6. The Glencoe cam caught Perce at it again
  7. That was only day two of your first ride in the ssdt and you have more stories to tell than Sammy Miller
  8. But isn't that what you tell the kids years from now, " I remember the year I rode and the police had to stop the trial" those are stories that make the event what it is.
  9. Did mine on the RTL well worth doing. Marky won't your hand get tired
  10. Thebestrialsrider!! if thats the case your name should be on the Pinhard. With only a few days left of 04 that has to be the saddest post of the year. The only name you don't seem keen on posting is your own.
  11. To tell thi the truth lad, we have ridden the stop without penalty rules for the past two seasons, ower here in the colonies, and they seem to have the least amount of complaints from both riders and observers. At club level the stop watch is not required at all. Going and riding full no stop in the ssdt this year also was no problem and if I got docked a five for stopping it was because I couldn't go forward anymore On a side note Stu, the point about how can Brittish riders expect to ride world championship events when they ride under differen't rules is bull!! that fact should be left out of all decision making of rules at club level, do what the clubman want, the world riders can look sort themselves out.
  12. Back to the original topic, Steve Saunders rode a tlr twinshock when he first moved to Honda, his works RTL wasn't ready, you should be finding out off Steve if this could be the bike. I will watch the 85 ssdt video see if I can see the oil pipe on Mick's bike, he also rode a TLR in the twin shock class ssdt around 93, may of been the same bike. The kick starter on the photo is TLR, the RTL motor used a different kickstarter, the shaft was different, if it is an RTL motor wouldn't it use the RTL kickstater ?
  13. Real proud of his war wounds was young Sunt, even dropped his trollies in the hotel bar so everyone could laugh
  14. Bloody hell!!! Silsden with a web cam, E by gum a can see our lads house tha nos, even have a picture of the Silsden cop shop, not that I ever visited it or owt Reet med mi day that az, a can spy on the buggers now, see who's dossing.
  15. Madmax, do you know that crack in that big rock face that snags front wheels ???????
  16. Can anyone remember who last rode a Majesty in a world round, year and location . Clue, monoshocks were also in the event.
  17. Well just get the lads who have removed the restrictors to put thier hands up, then see how many have re mapped the bike. Now I would think the sensor's on the bike will detect a rich or lean condition and alter the injector duration, just like on a car, how else would it be able to self adjust for altitude like stated in the Montesa press release. Billy, I could be wrong but those with enough know and ability to need re mapping will have the access to the tools and knowlage, those who don't stock will be more than good enough, I don't think i would give up the day job.
  18. Just going on what the Importer told me about lights restrictors and such. But I just got a 05 Sherco 2.5, the 2.5 not being common in the US most opting for the 2.9. I got the Euro version, came with a different header pipe with a restrictor in, horn, full set of lights and turn signals, number plate holder, speedo, spare correct header pipe, lump of alloy in the carb slide to restrict opening more than one third, spare set of jets, the ones in it wer again for Euro emissions. I didn't start the bike until everything was changed but I would think about twenty pounds of junk was taken off a bike that had been shipped across the Atlantic. See how much it costs to ship twenty plus pounds then times that by how many machines are shipped. The bikes when they come to the US have a sticker on the tank (for off road use only) if the importer can use this fact to reduce the weight of the bike, and reduce the cost of the parts put on the bike before it is shipped. Makes a lot of sense to do this before they are shipped.
  19. Billy, the bikes in Europe meet a different requirment, the US imported bikes will not have the same restrictions.
