On my Hercules 250 sachs powerd bikes i use 50:1 fully sythetic Castrol TTS(RS2) Oil.No problems.

Steve, that sounds very economic to me save's a lot of cotton only 2 pair of underpants a week. :hyper:

Well, never had Alpinestars,for the last 40 years only Sidi,on and ooffroad.So may somebody else knows the difference.Good thing with Sidi boots is,you can get every spare part for them licke buckles,sole's etc.I have enduro Sidi's from 1979 and they are still in good shape.

If you want to stay with a low capacity 2 stroke engine a 50,80 and 125 Sachs engine will nearly fit plug and play.

I would go for TY 250 Twin or Mono hubs and brakes.Best in Water.

That is the good thing about Mons, nobody is complanig about,forks,carbs,ignitions etc.Just enjoy the weekend,have a good time with old friends and ride your bike.A lot of spectators with a good knowledge of the bikes.And you can see unusual bikes there.That's why i took my Ducati there for the last years and the plan for 2015 is riding the 1964 Hercules 50cc there.

I find a perished Pirelli on the front works wonders,hard as hell ! There is a minimum chance of snow at the time of the year,and then it works perfect.Pirelli,bet tyre in the snow.

Why aftermarket silencer/exhaust,accep from the weight. A wise man,,good trialsrider,and developer of two trialsbikes said one day to me:Do you thought we where stupid in the factory when we made the exhaust.

So if you have a fiberglass tank it is a early modely and the motor with the iron barrel is correct.Yeah the iron barral motor has better bottom end power.

Are you running it on pre mix or does the bike still have the oilpump.If on pre mix make shure that you closed the little hole in the carb on the right side where normaly the oilpump hose comes in.

Gordon, so you have a orange alloy tank,right?If so it is a model from the David Brand time andit has to fit a engine with the alloy barrel.Could be that it is bike 55.

Two more trials to come this year in belgium: Mons pre 67 Trial on 8/9th of November and on 23rd of November the first round for the belgium Classictrialchampionship in Genk near Zolder.This one will be open for pre 65,pre78 and twinshocks.
