Would it be best for Raga to change make of bike to regain enthusiasm and momentum? Reality is with the best will in the World barring a disaster Toni is going to win with half the season nearly done? The other reality is that only Raga can probably get close? If he is talking to other manufacturers with a view to riding for them then would it not be better to invest his money and ride as almost privateer in that team practicing on that bike in preparation for 2016? Of course my theory is flawed if he is talking to Jordi Tarres or of course Bou retires?

Patience is a virtue No it's not, it's a shy tee card game for people with no mates It seems like Raga was as much in the dark about the looming shut-down as we were otherwise he would have made provisions rather than the knee-jerk crowd-funding. Let's speculate, it is the mainstream of any modern forum, after all? Surely, a professional rider needs to have a plan B if only for a short term bridge to another source of income? He could ramp up the personal appearances (demos etc..), sponsorship permitting, to carry him through a (supposed) gap year. Or, he could cross the divide and try his hand at a few money-making enduros...Or he could jump ship to a 2nd division team...Discuss

Unless he is lined up for TRS then time to jump to ship and talk to other marks would be a good move?
June 18, 201511 yr Seems to me TRS would be a great fit... keep riding the GG until TRS has a bike ready seems like a win win situation. If TRS is developing a competitive bike why not invest in having the best man available ride it.

June 18, 201511 yr Would be interesting to see what budget is needed to run a world championship team. I'm guessing it is a hell of a lot. Will the increase in sales be enough to cover it or perhaps would it be better to not bother with the world championship and be in a position to sell a cheaper bike.
June 20, 201511 yr Yamaha doesn't have the intention of selling trial bikes outside of Japan. are they selling 2 stroke scorpas in Japan badged as Yamahas?
June 22, 201511 yr I've read about the two and four stroke yamaha's, but it's not clear if they are sold to the public, or if they are pure factory bikes. The two stroke only uses the scorpa engine, not the frame. Edited June 22, 201511 yr by guys
