I wonder if anyone can help I have recently stumbled across a green 350 ossa in very good original cond. I would like to know if anyone could put a date on it and also if anyone knows who is best to buy spare parts from as the rear brake plate needs replacing.

Hi All I have a Cota 123, complete except for the piston which has a broken skirt. I can get an original part but I'll have the hassle of posting it here. Does anyone know of another (Japanese?) piston that might match? Thanks in advance. David in Johannesburg

Hi All might be one for big J looking for information and photo's of the late 60's Diamond trials bike,the only information i have found to date is in Mr Morleys british two stroke book and there is no photo's I have aquired a frame which i was told was a Dalesman which i don't think it is,on rubbing back the paint work the frame looks to have been a pale blue but the rear chain is adjusted by snail cams on the swinging arm pivot it has prop stand mtg bracket on the R/H side the frame is also twin down tube forming a cradle under the engine,engine mounting's look to be for a sachs engine.It looks at first glance like a rickman but they were nickle plated or possi…

I am acutally posting this for my father who owns four greeves. Three all angelicans and a pioneer??? He rides AHMRA trials series. Either way he has an orginal 19" tire on one of the angelicans. His others were converted to 18" ers. He is trying to find a 19 incher without going to a knobby mx tire. After much surfing I am comming up with nothing. Preffereably not a cheng sheng. A couple pictures from some riding we got in today. The Montesas were a little finicky. One started fine cold but the idle was a little high. As soon as I dropped the idle down it wouldn't start. I think it maybe a too small of a pilot jet. It has a nicely resleeved Amal 627. It should have stock jets. Plenty of compression tho'. The 123 is a hoot to ride but too small for me. It feels like my elbows are going to hit my knees. But with the bigger wheels it's a killer setup. Weighs almost nothing. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon. Beats working. Alan_nc's M92. Hi - I have the Amal blues, just can't get good all round performance after spending dough on new jets, needles etc - I have been fooling around with a 2nd hand Mikuni VM26 from a DT175. It is in good clean condition and I have made sure all the jets are clean and operating. I have rigged up a suitable adapter to connect to the original air box. When I kick her over it fires then dies - after a few kicks I remove the plug and it's always wet. I did get her running roughly only at high revs and loads of smoke ( engine must have been loaded up) so I removed plug and left it overnight to dry out ( fuel off). Next day I removed the air filter - double checked seat need…

Does anyone have a list of all the bearing sizes or code on an Ossa as I prefer to have them in stock before starting a re-build specifically. Headstock Wheels Main engine Small end Needle bearings in gearbox (two different sizes?) There are also a lot of rubber O rings on things like gearlever and kickstart shaft etc again any sizes. Finally a source of gasket sets or just the crankcase centre one. Thanks, Matt

I have the chance of purchasing an ossa, it has no documents but has been registered, and i can't remeber the number. However i wondered if any one new which model it is, Its all white in colour with a green stripe on the tank and airfilter cover, and the ossa emblem is written in gold, the bike hasn't run for about 10 years, and is in semi decent condition. Any one any ides Cheers

Three weeks ago, while practicing on my newly minted TY, I managed to bottom out the forks. My first thought was that I've been eating too many mince pies, but then I figured it's time to sort the front end so off to the Majesty website I went ... One week later I tackled the same spot (moderate downhill with a 18" drop, then more downhill), and the difference is night and day! It felt like I was being gently lowered down the drop by little cherubs. Now, this was during a trial, and over all the bike felt far more ballanced with the Rock Shocks on the back and it did have a big positive effect on my confidence. Less stodgy, but harder to wheelie for some reason. …

Found a Cota. Serial # 21M14025 Anybody know what year it is? Also...it appears to be a 'trail' model with a giant seat. Is this the same at the trials model except for the bodywork? Hi im interested in adding a 1979 montesa cota 250 to my collection i remember my cousin having one back in 81 and it seemed a stonking bike , really zippy revved well? would this be badged as a 247 cota or a 249??? were they any good i remember it being superier to my 76 ossa at the time though i suppose it was a much newer model better tech, etc!!! only real problem i suppose is actually finding a good one only ever see 248 /349's and earlier 70's cotas but never late seventies 250's cotas WHY? imho the above bike looked stunning! but this was 26 yrs ago!!!
