Does anyone know if you can just buy the mid box separately (I already have the tail pipe) or anyone selling one second hand?

I've got a question for all you guys who've fitted after market front pipes to your Yamaha TY 250's (Majesty's or not) I see there are basically 3 variations, standard, long (where it exits goes to bike left side up then over and back to right side and short where it exists and comes up through the front framer tubes and back to middle box. What are the pro's and cons of each from a bike response / riding style perspective. Also is it a must to have the WEs mid box with either the long or short variation? Thanks

I’m going to be working on a friends 1985 Can Am (Armstrong) 240 (Rotax) trials bike. I have a couple of SWM 320s (280 Rotax) . So I know where to get any engine parts. The body and frame parts I’m not so sure about. We need the following: muffler... ...carb kit... ...seat... ...all cables... ...decals... ...intake tube from carb to engine...since it has the Amal carb the intake tube appears different(smaller id) SWM? ...air filter... ...rear sprocket... ...front and rear fenders ...what handlebars do you recommend?.. thanks

Just about complete now, although you can always find more to do. Time to get on with my Ossa TR77 now.

Hi all, New here but not to trials. Rode from 1987 as a kid on a ty80 till 2007 when i sold my Beta rev3. Anyways the Montesa. It's pretty original but very scruffy. Its very much part of our family, my Dad got it in the early 80s to do a few fun trials and the annual new years day event for people who didn't compete regularly. Dad had ridden brit bikes in trials back in the 50s. So this was just a bit of fun. What it turned into was a family outing of dad riding in between the sections with 6 year old me on the tank, my then 11 year old brother also on the bike and any other kids that had been dragged along to watch. Hi. I’m looking at getting back into trials as soon as we are out of Lock down. I’m looking at TYs and wonted some advice; - apart from the obvious what’s the differences between the 175 and 250s. I’m guessing the 250 is heavier and perhaps has a longer wheelbase but probably pulls better with greater torque? Any views on how they ride by comparison? - what benefits do the Majesty modifications make and are these actually worth it for a club rider? thanks

Hi I am starting a project with ex cotton works rider John Close the cotton mickmar trials bike and am looking for as much info on it or other minckmar trials bikes. I have been talking with Michael Martin who has given us lots of info but unfortunately he does not have and photos of the bike. Restoring my Rickman hodaka , I just purchased webco cylinder and head , stamp 123cc .. wanted piston rings new preferred . fits this package requires 11or 12 mm wrist pin, ruffly , 55mm piston any info Have contacted hodaka parts co. No reply , I noticed there competing in brothers racing Mid west , USA , was no reply to my email ,, I painted this tank , baby blue and other parts , a possibility , head will fit , on the other cylinder , , upon ,, to find a matching piston , working on E engine assembly , for matching engine , frame , , to make it original , ? More collector valuable , , cheers

Hi I don’t see any form for Rickman , I have a couple project bikes a Rickman 250 vr 73 montesa , Rickman hodaka 100 hodaka I purchased from motorcycle salvage yard in Michigan ,,,frame , mainly , had it shipped , just got lucky was looking at frame tag stamped H Most small Rickman are Zundapp stamped z ,purchased most mislanious on ebay , wheels forks . We’re off a super rat 1972 , , it runs with hodaka 100 Purchased on ebay , runs and shifts , its early year 6/ 71 . Small tag left side intact with model number , the whole project cost 1500. Usd so far , might find a better performance engine , it’s stock engine 100 hodaka with supe…
