Twinshock

I rode my 325 beamish in the last round of the Euro cup yesterday. Quite fun but it is very "tired" to coin a phrase. That means, no poke! I now have a used std barrel with slight scoring and a new 0,25mm oversize piston (Thanks Robin!) Just need to visit the boring shop! Now my question: The barrel has a ca. 6mm hole drilled in it about 10mm above the exhaust port windows. Is this normal? Constructive answers only please Greeves! Lee

Hi, I have a 1977 Ossa 350 trials bike I am about to restore, does anyone have a wokshop manual I could copy, I think my bike is pretty much original but im not sure about the BING carb, also any contacts for Seat re-covering and Tank repair (got a dent in it). any other info, useful web sites etc would also be appreciated. A good friend of mine is unfortunatly nearing the end of lifes trial!! and is approaching the End Pegs!!..... His wife has had enquires as to her intentions with his trusty CCM. What she needs is an assesment of the rough value of the bike, the machine is in good condition . Thanks for your time.......

I am acutally posting this for my father who owns four greeves. Three all angelicans and a pioneer??? He rides AHMRA trials series. Either way he has an orginal 19" tire on one of the angelicans. His others were converted to 18" ers. He is trying to find a 19 incher without going to a knobby mx tire. After much surfing I am comming up with nothing. Preffereably not a cheng sheng. Any body know of 19 by 4.00's out there? Europeans do not hesitate to answer. He is located in New York. Thanks in advance --Biff

I'm waiting for my new Raga replica so I drove down to Mercer this morning to watch a classic and twinshock trial. Mercer's about 60km south of Auckland. Some of the tackle that was there was very rare indeed, for example this 500T Norton ('bout a 1949 vintage): There were also 4 198/199 Bultacos there. This was possibly the cleanest example: Also there was a lovely Greeves. The Greeves was ridden by NZ reigning enduro champ Chris Birch whose father is pictured on the 198A Bulto Peter Birch on the 198A Sherpa Also pictured, the great view from the venue. As well as a few local enthusiasts.

Hi, I am rebuilding a MontesaCota 350 and have a problem getting the primary drive gear off the crank...it simply wont come off. The nut on the weighted flywheel seemed to be overtightened and now the gear is a bear to deal with. I have messed up a brand new extractor...any ideas??

Just started to build a 175 Majesty using a godden frame. The 175 motor slots straight in but the head stock is a different size to the standard 175 frame. Anybody know what bearings would fit to enable me to use the standard 175 front end? Open to any ideas on the solution, plus suggestions on exhaust systems. Thanks

Hi there just bought a "Wassell" rolling chassis but seems more like a Dalesman.It has a very close almost parallel duplex frame with rails under the engine.It has Puch wheels.Looks like MP forks (with bolt-on 'ears' for lockstops). I have a Puch M125 engine for it. My questions are: What's the difference between a Wassell and a Dalesman? I've had enough !!!. I have finally got mad enough to remanufacture fibre-glass airboxes for the TR-80 250 and 350. A local fairing maker can run them off, but the cost of the initial mould is quite high. If we can order say 10 at the same time, it makes it much cheaper. At the moment,

Saw mention of a new 'Cotswolds' twin shock bike built with a Jailing motor on the Pinky twin shock conversion discussion. Does anyone have any info on these bikes - who makes them? costs? any photos etc? Many thanks!

I've got a Yam TY125 that I bought when I first got into trials (December 2002) and I've not seen another one since. Has anyone got any information on how rare they are or owt else about them. cheers Rob
