The time is nearly upon us for Sheffield and the start of the 2009 ITWC season. So, what's the reckoning for Saturday? the season ahead?? For my money it's gonna be a 2 horse race with 'maybe' only Fajardo 'possibly' stealing a win from the big 2. I think that if Raga can win on Saturday, he could retake his crown although he is going to need to be on it big time every minute of every trial to stop Bou. My bet - 1: Raga 2: Bou 3: Caba/Fajardo

Hi all Am I going a little mental here? Seen home page of website saying giant TV Screen at Sheffield. I am pretty sure that we were expecting a screen there last time round as well... So should we actually expect one this year?? PS: I am not dreaming am I? There was one due last time round wasn't there??

It's so hard to choose a favorite photo when you take so many. This photo keeps catching my eye every time I view it. This was at the Ireland WTC event, during practice. Quite an army of minders. Check the number and placement of each spotter all the way up the wall. I'm guessing about 20 feet straight up with no run. Frankly, I don't remember if Fuji ever made it or not.

Can someone please tell me the location of the 2009 indoor championship in Madrid on March 14? Also, how do I get tickets? Thanks!

Hi! Have you watched the world rounds on Eurosport(2)? Looks like they should look for a new cameraman! Or a new guy to edit the videos together. The coverage is rubbish. Having watched 3 rounds this year: In Sweden they showed most riders in the easy first section and missed out on the deciding sections 7-13. In Spain they missed out on the good sections or showed the easy/non-spectacular part of them (apart from Bou in section 14) (OK filming was hard on the first lap...).

After losing the 2007 WTC on the cruelest of rules (last goals the winner) it was good to see Laia Sanz back at the top of women's trials, not that she ever wasn't. At the moment she is way ahead of the opposition, however Becky Cook is becoming a serious challenger to Iris Kramer.

Has anyone heard any news about the venue of the Irish world round next year? They announced the loss of Bangor a few weeks back since when it has "all been quiet over there"

Bear with me on this one... A while back,maybe in 07, we had a thread here about a section at a WTC RD that had a nasty climb up a rock ledge. The were gates about a 1/3 of the way up with more gates at the top. Most riders tried making the whole climb up until one rider saw a line that he could use to the side after he cleared the 1st gates. Someone even diagrramed the section here on TC. I think we even had a video. I was wondering if anyone recalls this thread...and can help me find it? Im sure if I knew the round I would be able to find it.

Spanish web site zonatrial are reporting that Future TRW want Cabestany for next season, and that James Dabill is off to try enduros!! Could it be musical saddles over the winter, or of more concern how many riders in the main WTC next year?

Becky cook managed a good result in Andorra yesterday second which was matched by her overall finishing position beating Iris Kramer in the championship. Donna finished 4th and maria 5th so looking good for tdn. Best 2 results count. (Joanne coles and emma bristow finished 4th and 5th on the day! Anyone going to take a trip to Sweden for the WTC? It's going to be a nice course, havn't seen all the sections yet but those I have seen look very spectacular. I'm going to be minder on saturday and hopfully I'll be free on sunday to get around a take some photos.

Hello! Anyone going to Spain or Andorra? I'll fly from Sweden on Friday. Looks like a good trial in Spain around a race course with decent walking distance between sections. Have anyone been in La Rabassa before? TJ
