UK Trials Talk

I fancy a change of practise scenery for a couple of days. I've been to Addingham a couple of times (although not for some time) and I'd like to head over there if it's still available for practise. Who should I contact and how much does it cost?

So, with Doug out Dibs should win but others? Price or J Peace should be next favourite, but is it a wildcard year? Sadler, Kendrew? Cant see it being anyone else. Moors will be very wet, but forecast for the day looks dry and cool.

Just got confirmation on entry for Lakes 2 day, any info on the routes, where to stay etc any tips would be great

Earlier this year Andy mentioned that he'd like TrialsCentral to put in one of the teams for this years Scott. Having spoke to him he's willing to do all the organising etc etc. All we need now is a team of riders, who's up for it?

I've rode the Lyn Traders Trophy Trial now for the last 5 years and i must say what an awesome trial it is. Its a national trial so therefore has 2routes around some fantastic land in north devon. Thing is, the amount of pot hunting GRABBERS who claim they are clubmen and ride the easy route(which i must say is far from easy but alot more managable than the expert route). If you win a award you do get a cash reward which is very nice but how can you give it a good go when you get damn good experts riding your route and basically stealing this from you. The Midland Centre Trial planned for today was cancelled due to lack of entries, so we decided to droop in on a local practice venue for a few hours. When we turned up, it looked more like a club trial with vans and trailers everywhere. I exagerate slightly, but by lunch time there were fifteen trials bikes riding around this little quarry and it made me wonder just how many people ride for fun and never (or rarely compete) in events? If 'us' fifteen riders had all entered the Centre Trial, then the chances are that there would have been enough riders to have made it viable for the organisers. What do you prefer?

HI, do,es any body know if their is any truth in the current story that the ossa name is about to be launched again in spain?.rumour has it that it well be very similar the current bikes,any body know any thing?.i first heard the rumour when i over heard a conversation between an english importer of sh!!!o and a spanish visitor,an!!!w cord!!a who is currently involved with the sh!!!o brand.

How about this. If the acu said to all the centres that for three weekends a year that thay have to put on charity trials in aid of top world and european riders whether youth or adult, would you do it, lets say 3 weekends x 21 centres x 100 riders at

Well had another fantastic day at the Scott the weather could not have been better for spectating, i was up bright and early trusty camera in hand and set off to take my customary 300 to 400 shots and all was going to plan i nearly got all of the riders through reels head which was a real stopper today and i only saw a few cleans with three's being the order of the day,and it was a quick dash over to whaw bridge to get some more shots, by this time john sunter was way in front and flying and its great to see a real local heading the field, well i got a lot pictures here of the riders and i was off again to my last section of the day and here is where it all went wrong for…

Look, with over 100 riders There should have been 12 observers. Instead The organisers get some pretty serious flak becuase 4 sections have to be pulled because only 8 volunteer! If you want to ride be prepared for this sort of situation. It's no good complaining to the organisers of the event if you have nobody prepared to observe. I do it because I am VERY involved in my son's hobby and am prepared to stand and observe on a pretty crap day to get a Trial run. All credit to the observers at the Horsforth trial who turn out every weekend to do so. Dougie Lampkin Experience I know our very own Andy and Kinell are going to this on Friday and will surely produce a full report and pictures but I thought a quick report for those attending later in the week would still be worth while. I and a few friends attended the school on Monday and had a great time. The school itself was of limited value to me as a rider (personal opinion) but a great day out all the same. I had hoped to work with the instructors on techniques that I felt I was struggling with but the group sizes and mixture of abilities made this unlikely from when we arrived at the first section. I'm not making this up for once. A local Trials club; no names. is to stop serving soup ( FOC I may add ) to riders after the trial. Apparently a member pointed out at the AGM that a rider falling ill after partaking may leave the club wide to legal action. No way is this decision connected to the club being in the North East of Scotland an area noted for extreme thriftyness and deserted streets on poppy day.

Things are looking good for Breidden Hills trial in Shropshire on Sunday. Weatherman says it is going to be nice and sunny ! Whos coming to join Wiggy and the boys to play ?

Just making members aware of a scammer on ebay who ripped myself and another couple of lads off. He was selling a load of used Raw Trials Clothing in Sets,ie Shirt,Pants,Jacket,Gloves We never received goods,he wouldn,t reply to emails and I have had to make a claim through ebay so I will be at least 15 quid out of pocket. Hi Im looking to get trials bike and wondered if there is a perticular brand that's best for reliability and maintenance free? I'm thinking 4 stroke, so any opinions welcome. Anything I should know about beta 4t rev model I think?
