Does anyone have a lead on where you can get a trophy top that actually has a guy on a modern trials bike versus another one of those dumb supercross / mx guys? I would even settle for a vintage trials guy.

So, my question of the day to those of you with kids, please ask them, Who is the World Champ in Trials? Do they Care? I know my son has no idea, and could honestly care less, then again, he had a choice between going fishing yesterday on the big lake and running around in a bass boat and going riding and he went fishing. I have to e-mail my daughter to ask her if she knows, but, I better check myself becuase I am not positive.. To those of you that have no kids, Does who is world champ influence your trials riding at all? Would it / does it, influence what brand of bike you ride?

Ring... "Yo." "Hey Bender, ya wanna come over for some Backyard Boulder Hoppin'?" "Naw. I gotta plug the hole in my bass boat today." "Which one?" "The 12 gauge one." "Which BOAT, ya moron, not which hole!" "A River Runs Thru It." "I thought you sold that one." "No. The guy backed out. Said somethin' about the name. Musta been superstitious or somethin'." "C'mon over. I got a big new step in the yard here." "Big?" "Backyard Bigness, Baby." "I'll be right over." "Cool." click The Bender came over... without his bike. I let him ride the Techno. Hell, he's my brother, and he never actually breaks anything, he just bends everything. Thus, "The Bender". We suit…

LewisSportUSA web site has been down for at least a week. I tried from several computers around the country and no luck. I chatted with the Lewis sport guys and they said it works fine for them. Does http://www.lewisportusa.com/ website work for you??

Two New England Trials (NETA) clubs, CATRA and Rhode Island Trials Riders will be hosting vintage trials events this season. Are there any other vintage trials happening this year in the North Eastern USA? I understand D-4 has a vintage series, any info on the schedule or how to become part of the series. It would be nice to see more vintage events, I know there are maney of us who have these wonderful old machines at home just waiting to be riden again. Thoughts.....

Firstly, this is by no way a knock against any events, just an observation, of what I have seen happening over the past few years, any nationals that I have attended in this time have all been great fun events, and some I didn't attend would of probably prooved my observations wrong. Using myself as a gauge in National trials events I have noticed the scores dropping, to the point if you have a single dab you are likely to be beat. I know it isn't my riding that has improved, but rather the sections are just getting easier. The last four rounds of the US series, some support riders have ridden three events for the sum total of three points. I know many of the same ri…

First off, let me give you a big thanks for giving us the Americas Cup back. Next, I've always enjoyed your TDN team, you are a fun bunch. Question, why is there no OZ round of the world trials championship? The contenent of Europe hosts over 80% of the world trials championship. Why not spred the rounds around a little more? I've been to Sidney, there is some great trials riding mountains just outside of the city. You guys could do a really great world round. What's the story?

Well folks, this is the BIG weekend. A new AMA champion will be crowned. Word was Shaun Morris is competing this weekend. Here's a chance to do some predictions. If this is the case - how will our USA kids stack up against Shaun?

People always rag on Lane but can anyone explain to me why no Americans can even remotely compete on the World Championship level? We have 280 million people, vast wealth, huge landmass, and at least some intelligent people. Nonetheless, our best rider chooses not to compete on this level for whatever reason. Our young people don't aspire to become World Champions. I can find no reason that we should not dominate on the world stage like we do in MX. Maybe instead of demeaning Lane we should examine some of his thoughts as to why this is! He may be like chewing on tinfoil for some of you but he may have a point or two worth examining. I hope it isn't the NASCAR mentali…

I'm confused. When did the United States trials scene become a circus show? Here it's mid-summer and our pros are out entertaining the crowds like a bunch of half time cheerleaders at a football game. While other nations young and old riders are competing in competitions, our top pros like Geoff Aaron, Cody Webb, Keith Wineland and Patrick Smage are hanging out in the Supermoto pits gabbing with Doug Henry about a loose throttle cable - while drooling at Michael Jordan's Suzuki in Wisconsin or hopping over police cars in California. I can see our old washed up champion's of the sport doing these shows like this, that's what they are suppose to do. But our top pros?

Well, I haven't seen a topic on this but maybe I'm blind. It seems the Endurocross winers got their way. No trials bikes allowed! Was it the riders? Was it the promoters? What ever it was, they got their way and IMHO are a bunch of babies!! Next year trophies should be pacifiers and teddy bears. The good news is they won't be able to pass off their genes to the next generation as they don't have any gonads.

Im quoting from other sources. There are people in here that usually know or know those in the KNOW. so I ask, IS IT TRUE? Someone very wise a few years back said, dont worry about them closing all the riding places, they'll just ban the friggin bikes one of these days... I thought, Oh bull$... they'll never do that. Right. This is the letter that was sent to Honda dealers from American Honda's senior vice president, Ray Blank... Dear Honda Dealer: On August 14, 2008, Congress enacted the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA or Act). The Act was primarily in reaction to the recent influx of lead-tainted toys that resulted in numerous reca…

Yea, you got it, remember that? To tell you the truth, I could not do it then and I cannot do it now, but we did cruise along so many years at 60, that when things changed, 70 seemed REALLY fast for a cruise speed on the interstate. And even today, a cruies speed ov 70 on some two lane blacktops can be Really exciting! If you snooze, you may loose, bigtime! 1750 rpm yields a wopping 62 mph in the big Dodge TD! Seems lately I travel light, bike in back with minimal gear. No trailer! 23mpg! Kick it up to say 68, it will cost you a mpg or TWO, cost another at 72mph, cost another at 75!!! Makes you think, when diesel is near $5 per gallon! On the other hand, seems many o…

In a press release just issued today, the CMA has decided NOT to send a men's team to Spain for this year's TDN. This decision was made after it was made public that Wilson Craig had not been picked for the team for the second year in a row! This was such a shocking thing! Not only is he one of the top two rider's in Canada, he is also one of the best in North America. How could someone who has won a US National NOT be picked! The amazing thing that has happened, is the support from his fellow rider's. After the selection, Ryon Bell made it clear that as a result of the selection, he would not compete this year! As well, Will Duggan, the current Canadian Champ, also thro…
