Hey all Looking to get a new motorcross bike for hare and hound racing. I ride the Midwest series and Wessex centre enduros so I need a bike that is quite agile and very torquey. I am currently in the sportsman class but will go up into the clubman class in 2009. Last year I rode a YZF 250 with a flywheel weight, but I am unsure to stay with a four stroke or go for a 300 2 stroke? I liked the YZF but am curious if there is anything better out there. Anyone have any experiences or recommendations? If anyone can advise me on these questions I would much appreciate it. What is a better bike for hare and hound, 300cc stroke or 250 four stroke? What manufacture of bike…

I just found one of these so cheap I had to take it. Going to pick it up at lunchtime today because I don't want it to get away. Anybody have one? This one's a '97, which is the same model that went to about '04. I'll likely sort it out and give it to my son for Christmas.

Thought I'd have a go at enduro and bought a 1996 Yamaha WR200. Does anybody know what ration of oil to petrol I should be using, the guy I bought it from said 30:1 but this sounds a bit rich to me.

For weeks there's been rabid speculation as to what going on with Squarefoot. Well, BMW and the Knighter have made it official. They've parted company. Anyone able to tip me off on what brand bike Knight bought to ride out the season? Rumors are flying.

For all you offroaders looking for somewhere to ride or practise once a month Sat/Sun or the whole weekend check out Enduro uk. Endurouk is a new club formed recently and is run by Vicky and Clyde who organise these events purely for the love of the sport, they have two sites available to use with other sites in prospect, being riders themselves their aim is to provide offroaders somewhere to ride/practise and enjoy themselves with easy and hard routes depending on your skills, they have a great little kiddies track - good for the family, they have a terrific set up with paramedics always in attendance should you need them. As most offroaders will know that finding somew…

Hi all This will probably open up a can of worms but I am up for a good argument. After hearing the news that David Knight has won the Last Man standing for the second time in a row with Wayne Braybrook second. I was wondering if he could be considered the best enduro rider at the moment and maybe the best of all. It is clear that Stephan Merriman and the Edmondson brothers are very fast. Hell I would call them extremely fast as well as many others in the WEC but no one seems to be on par with David Knight. To this extent I am now sure that there are a few followers of the GNCC who are a bit worried that Knight will come over and do a whitewash of it all. Providing he c…

With David Knight opting out of competing in this years Hells Gate event to focus on his GNCC preparations it was left to our lads Jarvis, Bolton, Sagar, Evans and Wrayford to put pressure on the young Polish rider. Jarvis almost caused an upset and was applying the pressure on Taddy and at one point in the race was under a minute behind Taddy, but tiredness and leg pain from an earlier accident kicked in towards the end and Taddy pulled away from Jarvis during the fourth and final lap to take the victory. Grahams performance was all the more astounding when he qualified in the top 10 in the morning enduro on a Sherco four banger trials bike with no big tank or comfy s…

After many other ideas about cures for my mid life crisis including a Nissan skyline, Mitsubishi Evo, Subaru Imprezza, Hayabusa, TVR Tuscan and a whole host of other stoooopid ideas, I'm looking at a much cheaper option tomorrow in Bristol - a KTM 640 Supermoto. This has sprung from a long line of standstill roadworks on my way to work and the fact that if I don't get there before 7.30 it takes me half an hour longer, plus the fact that I'd like another road bike, especially if it's one i can dabble off road with. It should have been a KTM 525 EXC, but I deliberated for one night too long and it got swiped from under my nose. Now for that I was going to buy supermoto w…

Firstly my postings on Enduro are even less popular than when I post about football....you would have thought with Doug Lampkin making waves in this disciplie that this forum would have become a little more popular? Anyway, this weekends Hell Gate Extreme Enduro has an all star line up including the aforementined Doug but also Jarvis, Sagar, Taddy, Chris Birch, Gerhard Forster. Funny no Knighter but it still looks to be a top event. Hells Gate
