Whilst busy working this afternoon; came across this clip http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6...mp;q=blue+peter Can anyone identify the bike and/or rider; It's a shame that they failed to blow up Anthea Turner (and the perm) completely.

Hello, I could do with a bit of help if anyone can assist please My trials Cub, has a PVL electronic rotor connected to an Electrex world cdi coil pack, unfortunately the chap who built it is no longer with us, so there is no way I can verify this. The two instructions from each manufacturer state different ignition settings BTDC My question is: Which setting would be best to set the static timing, the Electrex world at 6.5mm BTDC or PVL 1.8-2.2mm BTDC? I am led to believe that the PVL has little or no advance till 7000 rpm, but the Electrex world has the advance built into the coil pack Can anyone positively confirm or deny the above Any fur…

Hey folks, Just watched a great winter time DVD of the Leroy Winters Memorial ISDT Reunion Ride. Loads of vintage bikes and an interview with Jim Holerich. Malcolm Smith and John Penton were there as well. The DVD was very reasonable and is available by emailing Jay Duchin <jayduchin@comcast.net> Below is a link to a trailer for the movie.

Hello, My name is Morgan, I am 23, and live in Saskatchewan Canada. I was recently at a garage sale and saw an old bike, thinking it was a Honda Elsinore from behind. Got closer, realized it was a Montesa, owner asked me if I would like top buy it. I replied, "no, I don't have that kind of money", he laughed and said, "For $40 she is yours." So I bought it. It seems to be in decent shape, however it is missing a few bits and pieces. He had told me it did not have spark, and upon further inspection I found that the points are not opening up. So I have located replacement points and a condensor. My first question is, does anyone know where I can get flywheel pull…

I have just bought my first trials bike and it's a Bantam. I wondered if anyone could help identify the forks it has fitted? It has billet yokes and the forks look a bit like the REH ones - except they have a bracket for the hub stay(?) and have an external nut on the spindle rather than the internal type thing on the REH ones. Any pointers more than welcome! Anyone recognise them?

Look on ebay there is a helmet that once belonged to Magical Mick Andrews. Item no 160076809764. We are trying to judge if there are any other interested parties on here as its approaching 40 quid and fellow TC user Pitley wants it to wear on his Majesty. He will probably need a blonde wig as well, as like me time has not been kind to him where hair is concerned. (As a coot) He will be gutted if it goes for silly money.

I recall reading about the existence of an event called the ACU 1000 Mile Trial - I forget where. Possibly run in the early 1900s. Does anyone have any information on it? What happened to it? Just out of interest. Thanks.

ive just bought my first trials bike a triumph cub,but it looks to me like it needs a wider swing arm sorting for it,does anyone have any drawings or dimensions for either making a new swing arm or modifying the original one,and does the engine have to be moved to the left to accomodate a 4.00 inch tyre so the chain runs true without catching the chain? any info would be greatly appreciated as i need to get cracking as soon as possible thanks in advance Dan
