OK folks, being off work for a week (mandatory holiday shutdown) I had time to complete the fiber plate modification document. This makes the clutch progressive, eliminates drag, cold stick, slip and reduces lever pull (if you leave two springs out). And the best part... It's free (if you already have the files and Dremel polishing wheel) Yes it will cost you some time but hey you're working on your bike. That's still quality time compared to working on the car. The PDF came out over 10Meg so if you don't have a high speed connection it may take a bit. Sorry but the pictures are necessary. Enjoy Andy Edit: File optimised and size reduced to 1.8MB Clutch_Fix.pdf …

Is there much difference between evo 250’s over the years 2012-2016? I’m not talking about looks but more like power delivery/reliability etc or are they all the same?

Howdy, I've a fork seal leaking has anyone used a fork seal driver ? I was looking at the Sealey MS016 35mm-55mm Fork seal Driver..I've never done one before but i've looked at a you tube video on it and it looks relatively simple even to my Limited Mechanics Skill Set...it's a Beta Evo Any thoughts ? Best, Mick

I've just changed the oil on my Rev-3 and the old oil came out whiteish and milky. Water in the gearbox, right? I flushed it through with new oil a couple of times and refilled but after a couple of minutes running, it's starting to go the same way (from looking through the sight glass). I assume that the water pump seal has gone - could it be anything else? Can anyone recommend what parts I need to order? As always, many thanks for any advice!

Have anyone come across a solution to fixing the corrosion to the magnesium casing on a Rev3? Mine is a '03 Rev3 270, and have replaced this casing before for the same reason. A mate said his chewed out again also, and was shocked to find mine had done the same a year and a bit later. I found the old coolant to be gycol based organic type, ok in alloy engines, but changed to the recommended synthetic based type after the last casing change. This has made no difference. Apart rom buying an alloy casing, what have other owners done or found? A mate had a similar experience with a Husky, and they epoxy coated the inside.

I recall reading a recommendation to drill a small hole in the bottom of a Beta flywheel cover a good while back. Is this still recommended & has anyone any experience to suggest whether to drill, or not to drill - that is the question?

Thinking of splashing out on a new(ish) bike and the 4T is in the frame. I've heard of a couple of glitches in two local bikes, are they generally ok or are there really some teathing problems?

hello, Me and my bro drove 400miles yesterday to collect his rev 3 270, We took his out for the first time this afternoon, And it stopped working, We daignosed 'No spark' Coil ok! Got home and afetr reading forums and wat not it seems to be stator, I have done a resistance check and his is cumin up at 158ohm, (Thats is i have tested it correctly) I have checked my rev3 250 and its showing 398ohm, So i have come to the conclusion the stator is broke. Is there any other checks i can make? As we dont want to buy a stator for no reason! What are the best solutions: Re-Coil? Replace? Regards James

Hi there just wondering your thoughts on getting the 2 arms that come off the frame that holds the mudguard and airbox welded or tacked there. After every ride both sides are loose and am getting sick of tightening them as i have the carbon frame protectors and have to come off everytime. Have even tried high strength loctite to no avail. I know if i get them welded there im gonna be in trouble if i bend one or break one. Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Jase

I have been researching the idea of converting a 2007 Rev 3 270 to a 200. I'm trying to determine IF the 270 has a Flywheel Weight (FWW) that the 200 does not have? In looking at the Beta parts manual http://www.lewisportusa.com/manuals/beta/Trials%20Parts%20Books/2000-08%20rev-3%202t/07%20Rev%20125-200-250-270%20Engine.pdf pages 5 (250/270) and 4 (125/200) there is an item 23 on page 5 that is labeled: + 23 29-07314-8 Trasmissione primaria c/camp. Primary drive with cup which I think is an error since there is an item 22 with the same name that IS a primary drive. The item 23 ALSO shows what looks like a large FWW. Can anyone help me figure out the answer …

Hi I just finished a complete retoration of beta zero 1990. I am having starting issues. I can get the motor to occasionally kick back, but cant get it to go. I have a question re installation of stator and flywheel on this bike. I did not document exact mounting position of the stator when I took the motor apart. The stator has 3 bolts and can be installed in 3 different positions if rotated around the crankshaft. Do I need to worry in what position it is in terms of ignition timing?
