I have a 2001 Rev3 that is a little sharp off idle so I would like to try a weight. I have one for a 2008 but it is a different size. I can make one. Does anyone have any details like diameter, thickness weight or even a picture. I find nothing on line.

Trying to do as much maintenance on the bike as I can and while installing a new front tire I decided I might as well change the front fork tubes oil. The reference owners manual I found online for my 2001 Rev3 with Paioli forks says 60 mm from top fully compressed on the right side and 120 mm from the top on the left (spring) side. It does not indicates to compress the spring side tube for this spec. Does that sound right? I don't want to end up with too much oil and ending up blowing up the seal or worse. The instructions below clearly ask for the spring to be inserted back in the tube and the picture shows the spring inside the tube in what appears to be a fully exte…

Hi guys, My 2001 Rev3 came without a kill switch, so I have set myself the arduous task of fitting one, and have bought is a Yamaha style, 2 wire switch. Now I have read loads of different posts about this, but cant find one that matches what I see. (I can see no loose black and white wire that many seem to mention) Any help or suggestions would be gratefully recieved. Thanks!

I believe the rear brake has air in the line and want to bleed it out. I want to know if their is a method that makes this process easy for one person. Considering the high point in the system is the brake line loop above the airbox the only way i can think of is to remove the whole rear section of the bike and hold the brake caliper straight up above the master cylinder. Anyone have an easeyer solution?

Has anyone got an idea what parts I'll need for a top end rebuild (piston, rings, gudgeon etc), what they'll cost (rough idea - especially if you've done it recently), and where I can get them (don't mind purchasing from USA, UK)? Cheers

  7. My 02 Beta won't start. Near end of season last year I had to push it out of the woods. I have a little spark, I can get it to fire once in a while by kicking the hell out of it. Before this year I pulled the flywheel, cleaned the crud out. Checked my stator white and white/black to ground for 200 ohms. had 199 Replaced the 2 rings. The piston and wall looked good. New gas, new plug. Im getting 125 psi, with throttle open. Cleaned checked my wire connections. Im hoping someone here can help me. A big help would be to test my coil and cdi. By talking to US Beta the 01 and 02 are the same. Can someone try them out for me? or lend some help. Anybody hav…

just getting into the sport, coming from riding enduro for the last 20 yrs. I bought a 02 270 Rev3 and really don't know much about trials bikes at all. The forks were leaking and I took them to my normal suspension tuner to get serviced. The rear shock bolt was so seized in the swing arm I had to bring him the whole swingarm and shock together so he could get the bolt out with the help of a bridgeport. Now that he has the bolt out and is ready to service the shock he was wondering if I had heard of anyone doing anything special with the valving or is everyone just leaving them stock and changing spring for weight? I'm about 205lbs, so most likely the spring is …

I was out riding the old beast on Sunday, no issues to start with, lots of slow speed figure of eights etc, then I went on a long trail across a field / meadow ..... When I arrived at the gate at the far end around 10mins later (which was locked) having not used my brakes at all, I had lost my front brake, lever to the bar nothing ......(the brake is usually one finger operation and really good). I rode back and kept pumping it and nothing for a while then all of a sudden it came back and has been fine since ?!? Air in the system perhaps ? Low fluid ? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Hi guys, I'm new to the trials end of motorbiking and have just bought a 2002 Beta Rev 3 250cc and was wondering at what ratio do I mix the petrol and 2T oil working from 5litres of petrol? Also while idling it sounds as loud as an old CR125 I had is this normal for Beta's or do I need to look at repacking the silencer? Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks!! Danny

Ive just bought a replacement gear lever and was wondering how easy they are to change? Is it a case of taking off the crank case cover or do i need to drain the oil and start fiddling with the clutch and gears? Clueless! Any help would b appreciated!

I've been looking at a Rev 3 2002 that is for sale...but it has a considerably noisy clutch...(goes quite when you pull the clutch lever in)..Has anyone any advice about this??,,,Is it a big problem..i.e. needing a new clutch, or just slightly worn plates??......Although there is this noise, the clutch still seems to operate properly. Thanks for any info!!!

Hi does anyone know the size of the big end bearings or bearing code? I usually get this info from the parts diagram on Haven but it's not showing a separate bearing and trials and tribs are just offering a full rod kit! Ta Darren
