Interested in hearing from some riders whose main ride is the 200. I have an 04 200 that I play around on bit. It seems a little down on power or maybe its response. My main ride is a GG 300 enduro bike which I tend to tractor around on. I tend to do the same thing with the 200. Most of my section riding seems to be in 2nd gear. I'm wondering if maybe the power is fine and I'm not wringing it out enough. So when you are out there working your 200 do you wring its neck or just chug along. Or is it a little of both. I've had a few expert riders tell me they thought it was fine. Sometimes I wonder though .... maybe I'm not working the throttle correctly I rode a trial this …

Hi Folks. In your experiences what is the BEST proven method of applying new decals to a Beta. Is it the wet method ie: squeezie bottle with a little soapy water or the bone dry method, which can be tricky!!!!!!!!!!! I don't really want to screw up a good decal kit? Cheers.

Hi, out on the bike yesterday and it coughed and spluttered and then ran backwards ! once it had cooled down it was fine but as soon as it warmed back up it did it again I'm thinking timing, woodruff key or stator problem, any ideas ?

I'm looking to buy a 2006 Beta Rev 3 250. Sadly when it comes to Trials Bikes I don't know what I am looking for when it comes to seeing if a bike has been thrashed and polished to sell or has had a genuinley good life with good maintenance. The bike I am looking at looks to be in good standard condition as opposed to polished to within an inch of its life to cover up the problems. the owner stated that the black anodising on the fork legs has not worn off, which he says is an indication of a well used Beta. is this true? He is the original owner from new and he tells me he has used it very little in it's time. I am viewing it on Saturday but could anyone advise on any t…

hi...just bought a 08 beta rev 3 200 and on browsing the forum, there seems to be a lot of advise with regard to changing oils every 10 ish hours and pistons every 50-100 hours and carb cleaning after every ride???? is this type of maintenance really necessary???? i used to ride old beamish and yamaha for 20 odd years with same piston and sensible oil changes..every 6 months or so and never cleaned the carb. are the new bikes lesser quality and how come new beta p*** out fuel from the carb??? thought things should be better now??? sounds like Skoda from the past may be making them all now if parts only last this long??? any thoughts??

The PHBH26 off my '90 Zero has "TD" stamped after the model number: I need to get a few parts for it and can't figure out if these two letters mean anything. Can anyone let me know if this suffix should be taken into consideration when order for this unit? Looks like the parts can be got from http://www.dellorto.com/merchandise/products.asp?CategoryID=2&PartsectionID=24 but want to make sure. Thanks for your help!

  13. # 01 While my Beta bike just struggled to run proper due to a lost teeth on the clutch compartment side, which could be solved by a donor base engine. Then again the moped went in OFF modus by the Motoplat ignition were the internal electronic components decided to fail after 5 minutes of running after # 01 was done. Which is remarkable embarrassing in my personal thoughts as there ate again some in deep going labor needed to get this problem fixed, I now - after swallowing this "frog" too have only one part left that hasn't been updated / refurbished / maintained very much as it works until now. It's the rear suspension, being a light rider I have some problems with sta…

Hi, I've got a slow action throttle on my 200 at the moment, it's ok but if I haven't got much of a run up to a bank or hill I find the power is a bit delayed, it's not the most comfortable position for the wrist right back either. I have changed the gearing from 11t front 41t rear to 10t front 44t rear which has helped make the bike more usable in the first three gears in tight places. Some people have told me to keep the slow action throttle, other people prefer a quick action throttle- so I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone else tried both on their 125 or 200? If so how did you find it?

Hi....Can't seem to find a definitive answer on ignition coil resistance values for the rev3. seen 3 & 10000 ohms quoted but also saw a test for a leonelli coil suggesting 0.6 & 11k. Testing mine I'm getting 0.6 ohms on the primary and 4,500 ohms on the secondary. Can anyone tell me if this is out of spec? Thanks in advance.
