Beta

I've just taken delivery of my new Evo 300. I've always ridden Betas. My last bike was a 2020 Evo 300. Rode new bike for the first time on Fri. It is so different to the 2020. The 2nd gear seems like a gear I would use in every section now. On my 2020 I would always do slow tricky stuff in 1st but the 2023 bike will happily creep along the slowest section in 2nd yet still has the guts to blast up anything. Sprocket sizes seem the same. It must be down to ignition and mapping ? Has anybody else noticed a big difference? And they say beta just change the stickers ..........

Beta evo 250 recently cleaned carb & runs fine only issue is I noticed the air screw is all the way in. Will this be fine. I screwed it out 1.5 turns & it made it run a little worse.

Buddy just picked up a 2013 Evo 300 and we went riding for the first time yesterday. the front wheel is visibly offset to the left when looking at the front of the bike. However. the fender is in the middle between the fork legs but the wheel is well offset to the left. Is this normal? We did check to make sure the axle was tight and it was so I don't know how we could get the wheel centered as the rotor also seemed lined up in the caliper?

Hi I'm wanting to repack my evo 250 silencer do you have to do the large box just after where header goes in or do you just do the straight part up before the plastic end cap

Does anyone know the torque value for a Evo 200 factory 2022 flywheel nut thanks

Hi, now I believe that these are held in place at the top with a grommet into the frame. Mine was held by a couple of zip ties I've taken the rad out to find this , see pic. I presume something has snapped off , anyone know.? Also the lower mounts, how are they attached to the rubber mounts??. Anyone got a clear photo showing this please. Thanks for your help, I hope. Also, just to add, why do they insist on using cap head bolts with a consistency of cheese?

Hello. I have a question regarding Beta tr32,tr33,tr34,tr35 and my question is: Does Beta tr32, tr33, tr34 and tr35 have the same engine and if not what is the differense between them? I bought one not too long ago and it is a TR32, I don`t know what year model it is. i belive its 81-89 Can you guys help me to find out? Was riding my first competition in 10 years yesterday and noticed a knocking sound whilst riding between sections in 3rd and forth gear. I've never noticed this noise before and I'm convinced I can't hear it in the sections or when I'm practicing. Certainly isn't there whilst revving Bike stationary. Bike is completely standard. Air screw set as per factory. I've never touched it. I run Castrol power 1 racing at 65 to 1. Could this be pinking ? I think the bike is probably coked up quite a bit as I could see it was smoking like mad when riding distances between sections when it actually had the chance to heat up properly. im going to see a beta evo 200 (2018 model) for my son and was just wondering if there is anything to look out for on them. i havent owned a beta so a heads up on any common issues would be a great help. cheers

Hi Guys, I had posted this in the Sherco forum earlier this week, but the bike I was looking at fell thru which was a 2017 ST300. New to trials (coming from many years of Enduro) so don't want to spend a heap on a first bike. I'm now looking at a 2019 Beta 250 Factory bike and wanted to hear the good and bad of this bike compared to say a recent model GG250 or 300 which seem to be more available on the used market in my area. Hey all, I thought I'd send a message on the forum which I've been looking at a lot lately as I've bought an old beta techno trial bike as my first bike. It's been a lot of fun but I've had some issues with the bike and the latest has been chewing up spark plugs and now not starting. It seemed to be a fuel issue and as I was investigating I noticed the carb seems to be not only not the original mikuni vm26 but a cheap Chinese keihin copy. I've sourced the original carb for $670 through beta but that is not what I want to spend. Does anyone know of a better alternative? Thanks for your time

I had the bike for about a month now & very happy with it I have noticed though that the fan hasn't come on yet. I've been out about 5 times in fairly chilly weather but the fan has yet to come on. Any ideas is this normal for a beta.

Hi All, I have been offered a 2012 Evo, black/red with 2012 on the rear mudguard but want to be sure it hasn't been re-stickered. Does anybody know if there is a year code as part of the frame number please? Thanks for any help and happy riding.

Hi guys New to this trials world.. I have beta 200 last week took it out for a spin started 2nd kick then into 1st and all OK then it died wouldn't start for love nor money. Checked everything couldn't see anything wrong ? No spark so took ignition coil off my sons 200 beta till no spark so changed over cdi yeah all OK ran fine.. try my ign coil and cdi on my sons bike nothing .. so ordered new cdi unit left old cdi in the house till today (Sunday) stuck it on sons bike with his ignition coli...works fine now 🙈🙈 why does it now work ?? Weird

As I’m new to trials riding, I want to fit a lanyard-magnetic kill switch to my ‘08 Beta 270. I also want to keep the manual switch. I presume the kill switch is a normally-open switch, which, when used, simply earths the coil. I followed the two wires from the existing manual switch, and added my magnetic switch wires to the same connections-one into the loom, the other, already fitted with a ring fitting, to the earth point with other earth wires, on the coil mounting. So now, when either switch operates, the earth circuit should be completed. but this arrangement now only works when the magnetic switch is removed-when I put it in place, it kills the engi…

So my new to me '04 Beta Rev 250 currently has an NGK BP5ES plug in it and the Beta specified Champion crosses over to a 1 step colder BP6ES plug. What are you guys using and if you are also one step hotter, why? Joe

Having just been set right on a bike I proposed to buy which was identified by a forum member as being mid-advertised as a 2012 when it was a 2005, can I seek your advice in confirming/not the bike below, which is described as a Beta 250 from 2008, please? I appreciate it isn’t a 4T (presumably the plastics or decals are from another bike) I plan to go to see it Friday, but if it’s a wrong’un, I don’t fancy the two-hour drive… thanks in advance

Hi everyone, I have a 2018 Beta Evo 4T. The bike has been unused for 8/9 months. I ran it today and found that the fan didn’t kick in. I tried to move the fan by hand but it was very stiff. I put some penetrating fluid in to try and release what I thought was a seized bearing. I managed to get it to moving but when the engine was run up to operating temperature the fan didn’t kick in. I checked and cleaned all the connection, all were fine. Can someone advise me, is there a way to check the fan independently or by bypassing the thermostat. I’m pretty sure the fan motor has gone but would like to check before committing to a new one. Thank you.

Came across this EVO while searching for a new bike/winter project. It needs lots of attention but it runs great! Initial purchase pics and what has been done so far... The tires have 2014 date codes and are pretty hard, especially this Vee Air filter was filtering/hanging on for dear life and ready to fall apart...got to it just in time She is a 290. The cylinder bore looks fine and a quick peek through the exhaust port revealed no scuffing on the piston so the jug is not coming off

Hello, i would like to buy a Beta Evo 4T and would like to know iff riding the 2018 model or later is a bigg difference with the 2017 or earliier models. Al your advice or experience is welcome. Greathings, Luc
