Stolen Bikes

Today I found that the secure lock-up where I keep the bikes that won't fit in my garage, isn't. Sometime over the weekend, my girlfriend's 125 Sherco, and my Honda CRF250x, were stolen. The thieves destroyed a steel security door, and tried to cut the lock off the gate, eventually making their escape by cutting a section of chainlink fence when the lock defeated them. This was from Cuddington, Cheshire, a couple of miles from my house. The Sherco is an '05, and has a few distinguishing features, most obvious being a Kehin carb. The Honda is an '04, registration PN04 PZJ, with a full lighting kit and 40mm bar risers. Any info most gratefully recieved. Mark

This might seem like a thick question, I'm looking to upgrade my trusty old Gas Gas and have seen some quite reasonable bikes for sale privately but dont want to spend all my hard earned cash on a bike and find it is stolen, so any ideas on how I can check apart from the obvious like - Check the engine numbers against any paper work the owner may have, ask question on how long they have had it or just walk away if they have no documentation of proof of sale. Would the importer of the model be able to tell me if it was stolen if I was to ring them with the Engine and frame number.

OSET Bikes are appealing for witnesses or information after 45 of its 2017 bikes were stolen yesterday from a lorry park in Leicestershire. The incident happened between 1800 and 0500 on the night of the 25 October at Markfield Service Station J22 off the M1, while the driver completed an overnight rest break. The new 2017 bikes were being transported from the docks, having cleared customs, to the manufacturer’s warehouse facilities in the Midlands. From here they were due to be transported across the UK to the dealership network. Having just gone through the misery of having two bikes stolen , one tiger cub engine no.t20 79495 and a fantic 300. I had some great news today. Adrian from TOR Yorkshire contacted me that someone was trying to sell him a fantic 300 near to me . Some hectic phone calls later and within 3 hours the police had recovered my bike and someone was in custody. Don't know if this is the right forum but Greater Manchester Police at Radcliffe have found at least three trials bikes and it looks like two/three motocross bikes. One evo , what looks like a Sherco and I think a very distinctive green trials bike with green anodised wheel hubs ( possibly Gas Gas ) . This is just a heads up to all in the Richmond North yorks / Catterick area, we where broken into lask night our well locked tool shed door was mashed open but nothing was taken, leading police to belive they did not find what they where after. There where a coulpe of other similar events in the area so be on guard. Maybe im being paranoid but i always assume the scummy robbing lowlife ****ers are after my bike.

Was away at the Road Racing at East Fortune,great weekend. Got a phone call from the wife when I got to my work this morning saying the the shed where I keep my bike had been broken into.Luckily for me I have the bike stripped for servicing so they didn't take it,but they used my tools to try to remove the door from my other shed(didn't notice the coach bolts) with little success so tried to lever the roof of my other shed.I live in Whitecraig,East Lothian,so please be aware and make sure your bikes safe. cheers the noo Brian

I had the back of a locked shed removed to get to my Beta Rev 3 270 (2007) between 8-16 December. They even took spare petrol and oil! I only had the bike 7 weeks and there is no insurance. Utterly heartbroken. How can people be so heartless?

Morning All. I'm hoping it doesn't come to them being sold on and beyond my finding, however posting here just in case. Last Thursday 11/07 I had my garage broken into and had my 2006 Gas Gas 300 pro and my 7 year old sons Suzuki LT80 quad taken. I have some very identifiable features of both vehicles, however not sure I should post them up on the internet?
